Moderated How to permanently delete files from Dropbox using JAWS

Can anyone tell me how to do this?  I’ve read how to do it with a mouse, but can’t find how to do it with JAWS and a keyboard.

Thanks,

Cliff

That works in File Explorer and Outlook, but not in Dropbox.  I’ve read that it’s much like killing a vampire.  You have to do a full ritual before Dropbox will let them go, and it’s bloody hard using JAWS.  Any help would be much appreciated.  I can’t afford to send Dropbox my hard-earned money, which is what they want us to do.

I've used the, Shift + delete, keystroke in the past free version of Dropbox an use it to this day with the paid version of Dropbox without faliure.  I don't understand what the problem might be unless you're working from the website where I'm working with the Dropbox folder on my computer.  Hopefully someone can provide a fix for you.

Stay safe and take care.  Mike.

When you're in the File Explorer in the Dropbox folder you're working with, you can delete as normal if you like. Usually there's a separate window that pops up that you need to alt tab into. Dropbox is asking whether you want to delete the file just in that location from off your hard drive, or whether you want to delete everywhere. In the case of the everywhere choice, you will be deleting that file or folder from both your hard drive and from your online Dropbox. This is a good feature they have, so that you could delete big items from your hard drive while still keeping them inside your Dropbox.
