Moderated Jaws2020 keep asking update

Hi, if anyone wants to stop getting the update messages then if you tab around the box asking you to update there is a check box you can check to ask not to be notified of any updates. I did this myself when I thought I was only going to be using this computer for a couple more weeks then it was to go to my sighted mum. However due to an outlook issue I have been using this machine allot longer then I thought. I probably should go in and do the check for updates and update this Jaws 2020. I have a SMA which gives me access to 2021 but again since I thought I would only be using this laptop for a short time I didn’t see the point of updating Jaws.

Hi Bill and Marie  I restart the computer this morning  then jaws update  ask me if I want to update jaws then I click on yes then it’s say jaws2020 2 available  checks box not checks  so I checks press enter so it’s 2020  not jaws2021

Hi, Addison. Last month's update was for JAWS 2021. The update that JAWS is telling you about now is for JAWS 2020, which is still on your computer. If you want JAWS to quit telling you about the update, install the JAWS update for JAWS 2020.

Hi Marie  I remember last month when I was on jaws2020  when I turns on computer  then jaws asking me if I want to update jaws then I press enter on yes  then after I download it  next things it ask me to restart the computer penter  then when computer come back on  it say jaws2021  !! It was not jaws2020  that when I posted in here saying I didn’t realized it was jaws2021  not jaws2020

If you are using 2020 when you get this notification, it is trying to get you to download the update to 2020 which came out last week.

Do you realize that you can install both versions and use either one?

Hi, Tim. No, you don't need to upload it again. If you did, you'd only have the repair option, not the update option, since you've already done that. Addison is getting the old update message, because he didn't update last week.

I downloaded and installed the 2020 version when it was released a few days ago, and things are acting fine.  Do I need to download it again?  I am not getting any message about needing to update.
