This wouldn’t work, as, I know for sure, my question relates to n v d a and word, and in and out of footnote versus document areas; Nowhere in my question is jaws referenced? This is why I believe such question would be forbidden on this list.

If it has to do with using anything with NVDA it should be fine. On 12/1/2020 1:38 PM, mike mcglashon

Lino, Nothing about any screen reader other than Jaws is allowed by the moderators on this list. I sent the link so he can sign up for the NVDA list already, but here it is again.

Besides the dedicated NVDA list, the best list for discussing both NVDA and Open Book is the more general Blind Tech list, many of whose members are very knowledgeable about these two programs. To join, send a blank message to:

Since I often point folks on the NVDA group (on which I'm a moderator) here when JAWS questions come up, I'll give the addresses to the NVDA group here, because that's where those questions are appropriate:
The following addresses are those most commonly used to interact with the NVDA Main Group:
To join: nvda+subscribe@nvda.groups.io
To unsubscribe: nvda+unsubscribe@nvda.groups.io
To receive a message containing the group description, and a list of these commands: nvda+help@nvda.groups.io To post: nvda@nvda.groups.io -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 20H2, Build 19042 One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time. ~ André Gide |

How many posts does one get on the list mentioned below? Not a exact #, just a ball park figure. I was on a NVDA list, and the posts 98% of the time were so petulant, I left it. Petulant, meaning arguing over minor things and expecting software to be perfect. How can it be when imperfect people design it. A circle is just a circle and no amount of wining will change that.

How many posts does one get on the list mentioned below?- You have quoted material that mentions both the NVDA Help Group, and the main NVDA Group. In any case, regardless of the Groups.io group, it is a simple matter to set up message preview if you want to see the first message in any topic, and then make a decision to either follow it, allowing more through, or to do nothing, and no other messages from that particular topic will land in your inbox: Controlling the Messages You Receive via E-Mail from Groups.io (docx) -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 20H2, Build 19042 One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time. ~ André Gide |
