Moderated filling out PDFs

Hi all,
I think someone posted the instructions for this a few weeks ago, but I deleted the email by accident. I don't mind reading PDFs in Adobe, but filling them out doesn't work. Can someone please tell me how to change this one PDF into a Word document so that I can fill it in? I tried selecting it and then copying and pasting it into a Word document but that didn't work. I know I could put it into Notepad, but I don't know how to use Notepad. I want to be able to fill it in myself, I don't want to print it out and have someone else fill it in for me. Thanks Madison |

I think the best way to do it is like this: Open the PDF file. Then after it is open select all the material and then copy it to the Clipboard. Then close Adobe, open Microsoft Word, paste the form into the Microsoft Word document window, then see if you might be able to fill it out in the form of a Word document. I'm like you--I'd rather fill out the form myself, but there are times it just can't be done.

Any version of Word from 2013 onward (it may have been 2010) can open PDF files and does the conversion itself.

If you have a reasonably current version of Microsoft Word, press control F12 to get into the PDF conversion option. Then, locate the PDF file you want to convert into a Word document. Once you've highlighted that document, hit enter, and you will get a message that Microsoft Word will convert the file for you. Hit ok on this, and the conversion should be done. You will then be placed into the converted file, which should be an editable Microsoft Word document. Of course, once you have the converted document, you can save where needed. I've had fairly good results with this, although it does depend on how the original file was prepared before it was converted to a PDF document. I hope this helps.
