Does any one know of an accessible Windows 10 EPUB reader? I have some types of these files I would like to access on my PC.

There are a number of options.
Q Read - which is a paid application provides epub , PdF and mobi book support. .
There are a number of Text to Speech based readers. Paid and unpaid.. For me the best by far is the free Speak On which has a range of excellent features for ePub reading in its confusingly named Text Publications app.
This has as well as text , ePub support, including book marking , navigation levels, header and chapter navigation, on the fly control of book reading speed and volume and including a range of other features. You can even create a “virtual eBook” based on a search term which will pull out all the relevant sections of an ebook which is very useful for academic study. There is also full capacity to export to text to a word processor by simple copy and paste.

David, do you know if QREad will read Kindle mobi books?
Or do those terms mean the same thing?

What David meant was that the app, speak On is free.
I think it is a Windows program.

Hi, Richard. When I look up Speak On, I don't get any matches about a free reader, either for PC or iPhone.

If you are seeking for an accessible EPub reader. QRead and Dolphin Easy reader are two programs which are specifically design for Vision Impaired. Dolphin easy Reader is a better program in my for EPub readers.
There is another one which is main stream which I don’t have the name at hand.

I use the portable version of QRead and have it placed in my Google Drive folder so I can have synchronicity across my computers. The only thing QRead really doesn’t do and would be very helpful is to highlight or make notes. This is especially lacking for nonfiction stuff where you’re trying to learn something. If there’s a program that does this, I’d like to know. I believe Kindle supports note taking and highlighting, but I don’t think those features are available when using Jaws. That and at least for me, I don’t want to be locked into the Amazon ecosystem.
All in all, I’m happy with QRead, but the developer’s pretty much abandoned it so if it were to ever brick, that’ll be that then. Not saying it will any time soon, but just something to keep in mind..

Hi all,
I have been consistently, but not for a while, be opening epub files with Adobe Digital Editions. It’s a program I do not like immensely, but has done the job for me. Wonder if this would be the solution.
Cheers from a very warm Athens this morning,

I want to thank you for the help. I found Q Read to have a very accessible interface when using Jaws 2020. I wanted to share another app that I found on the Windows 10 store called Thorium Reader. Like Q Read the controls are labeled and key navigation works. The installation from the Store app was accessible and trouble free.
