What’s the problem? I place orders on Amazon frequently. You can call their
accessibility line for help, I think there is a link for it on their home
page. Tom

Hi Amir,
Are you using the quick keys?
You can't possibly enter information on-line
without using them.
The B for button is useful, and H for Headings, and
E for edit fields and V for visited links.
BTW, while on the page, try using insert + H for
Jaws help on a web page, it will give you a complete list of quick
keys.
HTH.

Amazon is quirky at times. However, by enlarge it is blind friendly. What I did when I’d run into problems was phone their disability help desk. Although now, I don’t think they have anyone answering the phones. Alternatively you could click on the contact us and ask them for help. Of course I’m sure someone on this group could help as well.

Hi, what browser are you trying to use? My experience is that it does differ on how easy it is depending on the browser. Judy

David and all,
I called Amazon’s accessibility answer desk a day or two ago and they are answering. I had to wait a little, though.

I have been able to speak with representatives when I called the accessibility phone number. As a list member mentioned earlier, never assume, smile.

At the top of the page there is a link to the shopping cart. It usually
says how many products are in your shopping cart and if you click on the link
and scroll down it will tell you what you have in there. Tom

Hi,
If you use the letter B, you will eventually land
on what sounds like:
cart button
Enter on that, and use the letter H to get to the
heading where the cart starts.
Then you can use the B again continuously until you
find
Proceed To Checkout button
Then you use the letter H to go to heading level 1
and it will show the address
The next heading is payment method, and then the
next one or the one after that is the shipping method.
You can use the letter B to check out.
Finally, when you are successful, you will land on
a page with the words at the top:
Amazon Thanks You.

I have used I.E as well as well as Google Chrome. I find the easiest thing
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
to do is press the letter F and it will find the edit field and type in what I'm looking for and then scroll down through the list of items, press enter for the one you want to check out and when you find what you want press enter on the "add to cart button." It was frustrating at first getting used to the layout of the page. I hope this helped, but write back if it didn't. Judy & Libby

The general command is, once on the amazon page, hit the letter E, that puts you in the edit field. Then type what you want or if you know what it is because it has been recommended, paste it, after copying it first of course, into the same field. Then you can either tab or arrow your way down twice to the go link and hit the enter key. Sometimes what happens with me is it lands at the bottom of the page thus I have to do a control home command. Having said this, I’m not sure exactly what you are having a problem with. Is it purchasing it or not even getting far enough to put it in your cart then checkout.

|
David Diamond
I always make sure before proceeding to checkout that everything is correct, quantity price etcetera. Then and only then after making sure there are no surprises, I proceed to checkout. It may sound minor but I want to make sure the quantity is what I want and not more or the price is different then the one stated. Sometimes the rating is higher or lower when I get to the save to cart heading.

That’s good news. By enlarge they are quicker then most telephone help desks. I just don’t call them after 10 PM PST. The reason is, often they act preoccupied or in one case, I heard the TV and children in the background and it was clear the person answering had her mind somewhere else.

David Diamond
The question is, when did you talk to them? LOL. It’s already been mention though that they are taking calls again. When I called them a couple of weeks ago, they weren’t. It never hurts to call.
