moderated Docusign

Richele Pennock

Hello there,
We are looking at using Docusign.  Does anyone have any experience to know if this is accessible with screen reader software?  Thank you!

I recently purchased a new commercial building for my retail store and my realter send me a lot of documents via DocuSign.

There is a “Screenreader” mode, once you click it all should work pretty well as far as initializing or signing, actually reading the document is a bit of a different story, but then again I never tried very hard because usually I just had to initial some small change and I knew what it was so didn’t really have to read everything in detail.

Docusign works very well for me. You can download the document, read it and then sign each page that needs signing, but signatures are done via the internet. So, you can read your docs in Adobe Acrobat and then sign through your internet browser.

I use Docusign with Brave and Google Chrome and both work well with it.

Cheers

I was never able to use docusign unassisted, it wanted me to draw the
signature and in my case it did not have a screen reader mode anywhere
I saw.

It doesn't allow you to paste in a JPG file with a picture of your signature? I have such a file I use for these occasions. However, it would be insufficient on some documents.

Hi
I have found it really easy to use but would echo that it is easier to download the doucments and read them offline especially large documents as the product does seem to jump around a  bit when moving through them ie long legal contracts. Signing them with Docusign however is very easy.

John,

Drawing your signature is just one option, you can also select from some preexisting styles in which case you just type your name and it makes it into a signature.

Subject: Re: Docusign

I was never able to use docusign unassisted, it wanted me to draw the
signature and in my case it did not have a screen reader mode anywhere I
saw.

well for me. You can download the document, read it and then sign each
page that needs signing, but signatures are done via the internet. So, you
can read your docs in Adobe Acrobat and then sign through your internet
browser.
I use Docusign with Brave and Google Chrome and both work well with
it.

Hello there,
We are looking at using Docusign. Does anyone have any experience to
know if this is accessible with screen reader software? Thank you!

That sounds right, although it has been a while since I have done this. At some point you can choose among a couple of pre-written signatures, and it will just fill that in when you hit this button. Same with pages that just need your initials.

When I need to use it to sign a doc, my name is already showing in the name
field- and I just have to move to something I think is called the 'sign and
accept' button.

I was just trying to sign something and it had an area where I had to draw
something and no way I saw to get into screen reader mode where I could just
type my name -- that is what I was looking for.

I don't use a screen reader mode.
Are you trying to upload documents for signing or downloading them to read
and sign?

I've only downloaded contracts to read and sign. I've not tried to upload
documents so I don't know how accessible that is.

I think this was roughly March of this year. There may be a screen reader
mode, but I didn't see an obvious way to invoke it, how would you do that?

When was that, John.
I tested it a year ago and it wasn't very good but they'v'e improved it
since then.
