Good Morning All,

Does anyone have the steps to scan a document into an accessible PDF?
I need to pass them on to people so they can provide me accessible
PDF's. Secondly, any advice on what, preferably free, programs or
steps I can use to convert a PDF image into an accessible one?

I'm running Windows 10and Jaws 17.02729

Thank you,

Jennifer

Hi,
By downloading a scanned or protected .pdf file with Chrome, the document can be saved in a readable .pdf format.

A site I visit has lots of company news all in protected scanned images and by pressing control p for print on the link, Chrome allows either the printing or saving of the document. Press space on the save button, give it a name and press enter and the .pdf file will be downloaded to your system in a readable form.

HTH
Tom
