Google Chrome settings

Heya folks,
Am running latest Jaws 17 for my Windows 7 64 Home PC, for some reason now everytime I try and go to Chrome settings Jaws speech completely silences no matter what i do, once I close the Chrome settings page Jaws speech resumes and Chrome works great again, does anybody else have this issue? And is there a fix?
NVDA seems to work fine on that setting page though.

I use Jaws 18 and don't have this problem.
