jump to Spelling errors in Outlook 2010
Shannon
Good morning again, Is there a key combination that will jump to the spelling errors in word and outlook 2010, so the applications key can be used to correct the misspelling? The spell checker F7 works but is a little more than I want to hear.
Thanks Shannon |

Hi Shannon,
Alt + F7 will work in Word, but I've never tried it in Outlook. It jumps to the next misspelt work, highlights is and opens the applications menu for it.

Steve, Thanks for that. I thought I read in the help that the keys were, insert and f7 but when I tried that I get ”no links check link types press f5”. The Alt key and F7 does work just like you said. Shannon

Carolyn,
I have not done this yet, but I'm sure they are saying that once you are in the spell check dialog, alt-f7 focuses Jaws on the misspelled word and opens the application menu so you can pick the correction.
I think it was assumed you were already in the spell checker either by using f7 or from the menus.

As do I. But the question was to get the word in context I believe. Two people offered alt-f7 as the way to do that, and the original questioner said that the manual said insert+f7.
When I try alt+f7 in Outlook 2016 running Windows 10; Outlook crashes and restarts and there is no sign of the message I was spell checking. Insert+f7 worked the one time I tried it where it spelled the misspelling, then the corrected suggestion and I could either tab to ignore, add or change, etc.

In Spell Check, you press Alt-C to the column of choices and enter on one if it is a correct choice. Otherwise either Alt-I or Tab one more time to Ignore.

that command works for me too. The Alt F7 is just a bit different. It just takes the curser focus to the word in the application that is marked as incorrect and from there pressing the context key gives the choices of correction. The spell check dialog talks too much for most of what I need. Thanks for the pointer. Shannon -----Original Message-----
