PDF to either HTML or TXT convertor
Dennis Brown
Anyone know of a PDF to HTML or TXT convertor? It is just frustrating
to try to navigate some complicated PDF manuals I need to read.
Thanks,
Dennis

Back in the day, HTML was one of the AR Options; I miss that. It may be going around Robin Hood’s barn, but you could put it into Word and save as either one or the other, as long as you have 2013 or better.

What is the advantage of using this approach as opposed to pulling up the document in Adobe, then doing a save-as to generate the txt or html format?

Hi,
If you have Kurzweil or Open Book depending on the
version of the program, you can open, say, (Kurzweil), and then have it open the
(PDF) for you.

I find that the jaws OCR does a pretty good job, often better than what opening in adobe does.

I let the OCR run through, do a control A to select the whole document and then paste it into word. I use word because the process maintains tables. Regards Tom Bisset

Hi Nicole,
When posting Dropbox download links,
if you change the, 0, at the end of the link to a, 1, it makes the link a direct

That's where I was going, Tom. Once completed, you can save as a Word document, or any other format Word offers. If it's not an image, you can open it directly in Word, saving a step.
