Well to me its minor IMHO, but JAWS 2020 will not read the status using JAWS key plus F3 using Thunderbird V 68.2.

It's not JAWS key plus F3, it's JAWS key plus NumPad3.

My first problem with 2020 is that it doesn't recognize the graphics file in eudora, my email program.
With JAWS2019 I have a graphics file to tell me if an item has been read, has an attachment, has been forwarded, etc. Even though I moved this file to JAWS2020, the graphics are not recognized. FS no longer supports Eudora, but one would think that if 2019 can see and interpret the graphics, and the file is moved correctly into 2020, that 2020 would be able to read the stinkin' file. I have filled out the proper form, but don't have high hopes for this one. |

How do I give myself administration rights that JAWS 2020 is suddenly asking for?

If you are using a normal or guest account you have to log into your main user account that has administrative rights. This has nothing to do with jaws it is windows restricting access to your PC. Only administrators can install programs or change most settings.

Why would I have to hit continue with administration rights just to set up a shortcut key to start JAWS all of a sudden?

Oh that, That has been going on with windows for years. It is just more frequent with windows 10. Not sure why it happens to most of us but not to everyone then all of a sudden it does. Nothing you can do about it. If there was a way to stop it be leave me a lot of us would do it.`

It's bad. I must have a bad installation of J2020. When I check the version in use, it still says J2019, even though I'm supposed to be inJ 2020. However, in j2019 I had four upgrades, and in this new confused version I see only three upgrades left.

Have you tried restarting your computer and re-installing Jaws? I would give that a try. In regards to your other problem about not having enough upgrades, the best way to figure out this problem would be to get in touch with technical support. You can e-mail them at support@... Or give them a call. You can find their contact info either on the Jaws help pages, or by going to http://www.freedomscientific.com/support I hope this helps, and if you do have any other questions, feel free to reach out. -----Original Message-----

The 2020 version, Do you receive a cd or is everything download these days? This could be a corrupted download as has happened with me previously. I've not used a sma for this version yet, I'm just not sure of it's value at this time. Rick -----Original Message-----

If you installed Jaws 2020 and activated it and then accidently loaded Jaws 2019 it would of course report you have 1 less SMA than before. Make sure you use the correct shortcut to load Jaws 2020. As for Windows asking to continue with administrator rights that is not at all related to Jaws, it happens on some of my Windows 10 machines all the time regardless which shortcut I want to create or add a keyboard shortcut to. -----Original Message-----

I can't believe the mistake I made about my installation of j2020. It's this simple: I kept on hearing j2019, rather than J20.19 and the rest of the version number, thus thinking j2020 had not installed properly.
