The uBlock Origin extension (and add-on, if you're using Firefox) and uBlock Origin Extra extension (Chrome only) are great.
I haven't used a web browser without an ad blocker of some sort for a very long time now, and I used AdBlock Plus for years and still think it's very good, too. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. Install either uBlock origin, or Adblock plus. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-plus/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb and https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm I run both, by the way. |

I use IE or Firefox. IE more than the fox. I also use edge on my used windows 10 laptop. So I think they both support extensions. Your results only linked to the chrome store.

Just use your screen reader's clever navigation keys.

For example, when you hit an ad, just hit H for Heading and you'll probably skip it. All the best Steve -----Original Message-----

Brain doesn't work too well at this time. Not only that, this computer has a lot wrong with it, and doesn't always do what it's supposed To! Will have to pay another visit to your site! Thanks! Val On 03/12/2018 05:49, Steve Nutt wrote:

have you tried to use flexable web with internet explorer? I'm sure that would solve the problem but remember you'll have to do this for each web page that has adds so that you won't hear the adds.

Marty,
Go to: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions Search on either uBlock Origin or Adblock Plus, whichever you prefer. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. Marty,
By the way, there is very little utility in using more than one ad blocker extension, so choose one or the other. I personally like uBlock Origin (and in the case of Chrome, uBlock Origin Extra) because it does several things in addition to ad blocking such as malicious script blocking. You can read on its extension page about the range of additional protections. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. I have downloaded uBlock Origin Extra for
Google Crome, but I don’t seem to see a difference on web pages. There
still seems to be the same old clutter.

I have them both installed in Crome, or at least I think so. How can
I check?

If it's an add-on or extension, you can find all your extensions by:
1. Tapping Alt. 2. Arrowing down to "More Tools" and pressing right-arrow. 3. Finding "Extensions" and pressing ENTER.
You'll be in a very nicely accessible page where all your extensions are listed. There's a Details and Remove button for each one.
I actually like the way Chrome presents extensions a bit better than the way Firefox does. FF puts them in a list. Chrome puts them all on a single page, so you can use your screenreader's find function to locate the extension of interest by name without having to browse a list.
Hope this helps.
