Sound card speech synthesizer: RE: What is your first version of Jaws

Hi again.
Wonder if any of you out there remember the speech synthesizer that worked with a sound card before Eloquence came out? If I remember it was called Text Assist, and it sounded like a DecTalk. I used it a little, but I had a DecTalk Express, so I didn’t need it.
Just curious.

Ah, those were the days, I also had good old Accent for many years until the software synthesizers and Eloquence came along.
