Will jaws work on a computer that uses a solid state drive rather than a traditional harddrive?

Absolutely. I am running JAWS on a 256 GB SSD. The computer also has
a 2 TB HD for data.

Sure. Why would you even think it wouldn't? It's just a disk.

Guy Schlosser

Most definitely. I think you'll find that it loads even faster than on a traditional hard drive. I have a mac book pro with a 256 GB solid state drive, running JAWS on a bootcamp partition, and it runs like a champ.

My laptop and my office desktop both have solid state drives. They are
wonderful! JAWS has no difficulty with them at all. in fact, I think I
probably have fewer crashes than what I see reported here.

Hi List,

Are SSD drives all internal or external drives?

Thanks

Geoff

They can be internal or external, but serve the most benefit as your primary internal boot device. This is the most common configuration. On a laptop, you would normally want an internal solid state drive, with an external traditional hard drive for data. I hope this helps.
