Hi all: Is there a way to copy any table and a fillable PDF file to another document? Instead of typing it all out again? I am using jaws 14 and Windows 7.

I don't think so. Tables usually end up trashed when copied and pasted. If you can save the PDF as a Microsoft Word document, then it may preserve the table formatting.

There is a way to copy tables, preserving all original formatting in the process. First, press the letter t from within the web page or PDF document to navigate to the table. JAWS will announce the table's dimensions. Then, press F8 to select the entire table. Once this is done, you can copy the selection and paste it into the desired location. I hope this helps.

Not only in PDF files, you can use this method wherever the JAWS uses virtual curser.

If I use this will it keep the source formatting or Do I need to tell the computer to keep the source formatting?

Marianne,
Looks to me like it keeps the source formatting to some extent. If pasting to Excel, you may get some blank columns due to extra tabs, but that's easy to remedy.
If pasting to Notepad or other text, it appears you get spaces in place of tabs.
Give it a try yourself with tables and pasting to various applications, and you'll get the idea.
I'm very impressed with this capability that's existed for a long time with JAWS. I just never remembered to use it. My thanks to the poster who originally brought it to our attention.
