Something I use the pass through key for is turning caps lock on and off.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
Since I have my jaws key assigned to the caps lock key the only way to turn caps on and off is to use the pass through key. I press jaws key then 3, which enables pass through for the next button I press, so I can then press the caps lock key to turn caps on or off. Hope that example helps Paul

Hi, Paul. If you press your Caps lock key twice quickly, you should be able to turn off caps lock without using the pass through.

Hi bill,

I always wondered if there was a quicker way of doing that, although I've tried it and it doesn't seem to work. I'm using jaws 14. Any idea if it should work with that version?

Hi again bill

After your mail about the double tapping caps lock key message, I've had a little play around as it would make sense there would be an easier way to turn it on and off. Looks like pressing alt and caps lock seems to turn it on and off too in jaws 14 Thanks again for the email, I would have never tried to look at other ways otherwise and that definitely makes it easier. Paul
