I need help in getting Jaws to display the from field in Window live mail. Using Jaws 14 and Windows 7. Also would like to hear more from Jaws than “selected” when multiple selecting messages to be deleted. Thanks, Tom

Alt + 1 reads the from, alt+2 reads the sent date, alt+3 reads the to field, alt+4 reads the "cc" field and alt+5 reads the subject line. You can't do anything with any of these but if you need to really get into the fields just use the ctrl=+tab to back up through the fields.
Then you could cop and paste the sender's email addy.

I really don't want to do that when I am just arrowing through an In box full of messages to decide what I want to open or delete.
In the past in Win xp or vista it gave the from field the sender and date and time when you arrowed through the messages. Tom

Hmm, Perhaps I misunderstood your question.
In W7 and Outlook just arrowing down through the in box will still give you that information.

Robert Logue <bobcat11@...>

Here is a page with tips on using Windows Live Mail with Jaws:
http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Windows-Live-Mail-2011-Guide.html

I found that if I'd cstomized the list view that I couldn't get Jaws to read my labels for read and unread graphics.

Also, check how the list is displayed in the WLM view menu, message list drop down. Mine is set to auto which seems to work best with Jaws.

Press Jawskey q to see if the right scripts are loaded or if you have generic set.

Bob
