Excel 2010 and JAWS 14

Sharon Clark

Hello,

I am currently running JAWS 14.0.3005 on a Windows 7 computer. I have an
issue where JAWS will not read within an Excel 2010 file unless the screen
echo is set to all. I uninstalled MS Office 2010, repaired JAWS, and set
JAWS back to the factory defaults. Nothing has fixed this issue. Any other
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is the Excel file in protected view?

Hi Sharon:
Try this:
Highlight the Excel file,
press the applications key,
press R for properties,
tab until you find a button marked unblock,
click it.
If your file came from a blocked source, this will you to operate on the file.
If you don't find an unblock button, then this won't help you.
