Windows Live Mail
David Bailes
Hi Jean,
The accessibility of windows live mail on windows 8 is the same as it is on windows 7. It's not ideal, but it's quite usable. It supports both pop3 and imap, and you can use a gmail account. There's a jaws guide to windows live mail 2011 available here: http://goo.gl/mnHqJ Note that the current version of windows live mail is in fact 2012, but the differences between the 2011 and 2012 versions are only very minor differences in the ribbons. David. original message: Just wondering how accessible Windows Live Mail is for Jaws 14 under Windows 8? I'm considering giving it a try if there are no major hassles. Also, does Live Mail support pop3 and gmail accounts? Jean |

Another thing I noticed, is that if you look in the script file itself, you'll see references to Outlook Express, either there because no one at FS bothered to update them, or because the underlying object models from Microsoft are still labeled as Outlook Express -- which means that Microsoft didn't bother to update WLM or WM, either. That probably explains why you hear "Outlook Express Message List" when you launch WLM.
