Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)

After months of following threads, I got my hands on the latest and greatest late last week, and wow! It runs fine on my XP set up at home, but I'm especially impressed here at the office. We run Win, 32-bit, with Office 2010 Professional, and a handful of custom apps, most of which constitute a real torture test for JAWS, and probably any other reader. The first few hours (first afternoon and the following morning) saw several spectacular crash-and-burns, taking down every single network app, and requiring reboots. Then I remembered I had never flushed the system with a simple clean shut-down, so I did. The difference was like day and night. Ever since, the ride has been smooth and stable. We've been using The HP [EDS] Internet apps since 2007, and I have never seen JAWS perform this well. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, but, for now, I'm overwhelmed! I need to take some time back at the house to check it with Office 2007 (with special emphasis on Excel and Access), but am expecting no trouble.
