Append to clipboard and JAWS 14

Dondi

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone else noticed that the append to clipboard in JAWS 14 doesn't
work? It works fine in JAWS 13.

Hi,
FS changed the keystroke for it due to the command being used for
another purpose in Windows 8.
Cheers,
Joseph

Can you explain what you mean by "doesn't work" I use it all the time in
JAWS 14. Remember they changed the command to JAWSKEY+WINDOWS+C.

They had to change the keystroke because windows 8 uses it. Try insert-windows C.

Dondi

Hi Roy,

I just got JAWS 14 on Friday and I didn't get around to finding out about
this change, I was still using the Windos+C key combination.

Thanks, for all the help everybody.

I pulled this right from the Jaws site:

View Clipboard Text

JAWS now combines the power of Results Viewer with the Clipboard. If you
have copied some text to the Clipboard, pressing the layered keystroke
INSERT+SPACEBAR,
C will display the contents of the Clipboard in the Results Viewer. This
offers you a wide range of flexibility with managing copied data, allowing
you
the opportunity to copy and paste it into multiple locations.

For example, you could use CTRL+C to copy text to the Clipboard, then use
INSERT+WINDOWS Key+C to append text to the Clipboard from other sources.
Once
you have added all of the text you want, press INSERT+SPACEBAR, C to display
the Clipboard contents in the Results Viewer. At this point, you can choose
any portion of the text in the Results Viewer window and copy it to the
clipboard. Once you do this, the clipboard text is overwritten and the text
previously
collected is no longer associated with the clipboard. However, the text is
still available in the Results Viewer, as long as that window stays open.
This
means you can repeatedly copy any text to the clipboard and paste it
wherever you want.
