IE10 & Jaws 14

Lauren

Hi,

I'm using IE10 with Jaws 14. Jaws says a "new tab" when I am trying to view
something on a web site. When I use the arrow keys, the page is blank; how
can I view the new tab's contents and switch back to the old one when
finished?

Sincerely,

Lauren

Hi Lauren,

Not sure why the page isn't reading, but to switch between tabs, press CTRL + 1, 2, 3 etc. depending on how many tabbed pages you have open.

Ctrl-Tab also works, rather like Alt-Tab for switching between apps.

Here is a idea, since the email below just suggested using the Microsoft
keyboard command for tabs why don't you go and look up keyboard commands for
ie 10 then you can not blame jaws

I tried control tab and that did not work. I did do alt N, which someone
suggested on here, but I don't know how to get back to my original page. I
am not blaming Jaws, it's more my ignorance of Jaws 14, windows 8 & internet
explorer. It's all very new for me since I used to use XP & IE8 and Jaws 12.

hello;
if you have a number of IE10 pages opened,
you could,
ctrl+t=new tab,
now arrow to the site address and press enter.

or, you could try, alt+left arrow to go back a page.

hope this helps.
