Text box contents + JAWS

Hi,
I have few read-only multiline textbox in Visual Basic 6.0 application. For some textboxes, JAWS reads it out as "<textbox contents> . Use your reader keys to read the text".. And for other textboxes, it reads it out in reverse way "Use your reader keys to read the text <textbox contents>".. Any thoughts on why its like this? Also found that JAWS does not read out the text sometimes .. E.g. "WORD:

Press shift-control-o for a list of objects, which includes text boxes. If it's a small amount of data, you can read it from the list of objects JFW creates; if larger, press enter to open and read it.

The problem is that the focus is set on the textbox and JAWS just says "read only edit. Use your reader keys to read the text".. It does not read out content..

Did you arrow down to see if JAWS could read something? Select all with alt-a? Is there pictured text instead of actual words???

Another thing to try is to read the textbox with the JAWS cursor. if it doesn't find any words, then there aren't any there. I think.
