For the most part, I finally managed to disable speaking of punctuation when browsing sites; however, Jaws still speaks the word "bullet" before some links. Is this something that can be disabled?

Oh yes. I have none checked, but I always hear about bullets. Could be that they are considered graphics and not punctuation.

Typically bullets indicate a list. They are part of a web design element and can’t be changed by others.
