By accident I found this way for JAWS to read password as I typed. While JAWS was running and I am in the password field I turned on Narrator and started typing the password, JAWS announce the letters

A work around for this is to type your password in notepad and copy and paste it into your password field.

Are you pressing the 3 on the number row? Insert and 3 on the num pad will not work.

Just download it and install it. It should see your current license . After installing it you can uninstall 2022 if you wish or just keep it until you are satisfied with 2023.

The driver is only for third party apps. You don't need it for FS apps like OpenBook and JAWS. Your problem with OpenBook has to be something else.
