Adding items to Start Menu... another way
Hi Dave, I was a bit puzzled by your previous responses until you mentioned that your XP system has a "pin to Start Menu" option. I've never seen that option on XP systems, and I've worked on a bunch

Hi, Yep, it doesn't show up when classic view is in effect, only with those new-fangled menus that came with XP. I switched mine out of classic view and the pin option showed up. Damn, learn somethin'

Research It and NFL NCAA scores
Hi, Okay, good points, but the answer begs the question: where can you get the scores and schedules that you want without wading through a lot of extra clutter? As much as I've used and liked Research

Hi, Ah yes, I forgot about good old tell-me, though it, too has its occasional quirks. For a while there I would call in for a baseball score and it would say that the score for a game was 0 to 0 even

Hi Chris, I'm quite familiar with the quick navigation keys and use them all the time. My question was really about those desktop gadgets; I understand that they can get you weather info, sports, news

JAWS 13 and Captcha
Hi, Just heard about JAWS 13 and its OCR feature. Can that be used to solve captchas? Just curious. Looking forward to checking out 13 but I don't know if I want to mess around with the beta just yet.

What to do about XP machines
Hi, I'll chime in on this one. I use JAWS 12 build 1170 on my XP Pro box here at home and it's working fine for me. It's very stable. Are there quirks? Oh yeah, definitely, but I can live with them; n

Hi, Yes, right. But, if you have to press alt+down arrow to expost the list and get it to stand still, it's a good idea to use alt+up arrow to close that list and make your selection stick. Tom
