Navigating highlighted text in word
I love learning things I didn’t know before. I tested all this, figured out how to highlight text in Word from the keyboard, and JAWS found it. NVDA indeed does not.

temporarily increasing/decreasing speech rate question
I did have one desktop keyboard shortcut fail, had to recreate it. Don’t know if the failure corresponded to a JAWS install; I’ll pay more attention!

Unless you're using Insert Key mode in settings, which you likely aren't, you hold down insert and press pgdn or pdup simultaneously.

I wonder if using the color or attributes and color sound scheme would enable you to recognize highlights? I’ve never tried it.

How do you activate the Windows key to search for something with JAWS on a Focus keyboard?
One way to achieve this is to use the Keyboard Manager, find the script called StartMenu, and assign a braille key to it. Dean
