Well, all my testing has failed. JAWS seems to think the Grid is a table, however, there is only one cell. Up and down arrows by themselves, will not read at all correctly.

Not exactly, but if you start typing the Email address, followed by Control+K, you will only get Email addresses suggested to you from contacts, ignoring history.

So for example, if I were in your contacts and you typed “ste” then Control+K, you’d only get suggestions from your address book.

However, every time I try to write an e-mail to this person using his mame, the old e-mail address still comes up, and I can’t seem to get rid of it.  Furthermore, I’m unable to access the new e-mail address  in my contacts list for this person.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of the old e-mail address once and for all, so that my e-mails will now only be sent to the person’s new e-mail address?

Hi, Sieghard. No, I don’t know what the difference is. I usually don’t care how many folders there are, as long as those unwanted email addresses don’t keep popping up. As far as the warrantee email address, you can press delete on that one, too. You can just keep arrowing and deleting any unwanted address. If you want something which is in your contact list to autocomplete, and it doesn’t, it may mean that you pressed delete on it at some time in the past. To make it autocomplete again, just type in the complete name as it is listed. The next time you want to send to that address, it should autocomplete again.

In my work email suggested contacts folder there are well over 200 entries, in the one from my sieghard@... email account are none. I just picked one random email from the work suggested contacts folder, warranty@..., but when I type “war” I have 5 emails pop up, two are first name Warren and the others are warranty@something but not the InfinitySports.ca one so obviously this suggested contacts folder has emails which are not in the auto complete list.

Re: Dec Access 32

Exactly, while you can't increase the pitch under All Context, you just have to do this for all the other 4 categories, PC cursor, Jaws cursor, Keyboard and Tutor and Message.
I actually would love to see a pitch option under all context since I don't use different voices or different pitch for different things. I actually lower the pitch of Reed a lot from the default, I can't stand that high pitch. The first thing I do if I install Jaws from scratch on a system is to lower the pitch to 41 or 40% from the default which I think is 65.

Hi,

Not exactly, but if you start typing the Email address, followed by Control+K, you will only get Email addresses suggested to you from contacts, ignoring history.

So for example, if I were in your contacts and you typed “ste” then Control+K, you’d only get suggestions from your address book.

All the best

Steve

Subject: Anoying Outlook E-mail Address Problem

Hello, everyone.

I am currently experiencing a very anoying Outlook e-mail address problem.

Specifically, one of my e-mail contacts has changed his e-mail address, and I have deleted his old e-mail address from my contacts list.  I have also added his new e-mail address to my contacts list in the usual way.

Thanks as always!

Hi, Robin. When you clear your autocomplete list, though, it won’t even give you suggested matches from your contacts, until you type in the complete name of each contact once.

I’m interested to try this approach.  I have tended to just clear my autocomplete list in Outlook Options once in a while.

Re: Dec Access 32

There's something about the default eloquence voice that I find hard to listen to -- something like it has too much bass to it. I just discovered that you can change the Eloquence voice if you are on just the JAWS cursor or PC cursor, but when I'm on the all voices option, I cannot tab to the box to select a different voice. I think I need a voice with a little higher pitch than Reed.

Have you tried Eloquence? I don't know a single power user of Jaws and computers who uses anything else.

Has Jaws ever had the availability of the DecTalk Access 32 software syn?
Having that syn for many many years when I had Window Eyes as my primary screen reader makes it difficult for me to use the syns that come with JAWS 2018.
Thanks
