I was able to connect with Vispero, and found something very interesting. Drag and drop works if one uses the left CONTROL key plus JAWS Key

plus NumPad SLASH. It does not, however, work if the Right CONTROL key is used along with JAWS Key plus NumPad SLASH.

Alt+GR Alternative to Ins+4 Command

Hi, Everyone.
Here's a link to an article on the AltGr key from Wikipedia--I'm not
picky about citing sources, etc, just wanted to find out why my left
and right alt keys seemed to behave differently when I wanted to
virtualize a window … I can do it with my left alt key but not my
right. Thought I'd pass this along as an alternative to the Ins+4
option that JFW offers.

Re: sorting bookmarks in Google Chrome

Hi Brian.
"Orlando,? ? ? ? The Bookmarks bar is virtually never "complete" if you've got lots of bookmarks.? It has a "more" double arrow button at the end.? I don't find the bookmarks bar to be particularly user friendly for screen reader users. Using the Bookmarks Manager (which you do invoke via CTRL+SHIFT+O) as your main launch page for your bookmarks tends to be much easier."
I know how to access the bookmark manager, but that doesn't help me save bookmarks in the folders where I want them to go.
"I keep a few of my really commonly used bookmarks at the beginning of the bookmarks bar, but in general I rely either on browsing history or Bookmarks manager when I'm taking a deep dive into sites I use infrequently."
I've been doing the same, but this is admittedly a big strike against Chrome in my estimation. I bookmark so many sites that I need them to be sorted into directories that I can remember.
Navigation of the Chrome Bookmarks manager is remarkably similar to File Explorer or any of the Open or Save dialogs where a folder tree is involved, only the folder tree in this case is the various bookmark folders.? When you combine that with the search box at the top, you can usually get to any bookmark folder or actual bookmark very, very quickly.? Once you have focus on it hitting enter opens it in its own tab or window depending on how you have Chrome configured."

That's all well and good. But it still doesn't address my concern about saving bookmarks in the folders I want.

Re: System Tray Icons, How to Rearrange in Windows 10

Dave...

Maria,

Best advice is to simply close Windows Explorer, or the program that is writing to your thumb drive. That ensures there is no writing left. If the window refuses to close due to drive activity, then wait. As Brian says, most file writing is extremely fast and when you have a prompt back in whatever program, you're usually already long done with the file writing.

I actually seldom use anything on the drive itself as far as thumb drives or SD cards go to determine whether a task is finished writing.  Virtually anything where I'm copying, saving, etc., to a drive (be it a HDD or thumb/SD) gives a status that it's done.   Saving something like a word file, unless it were to be a multi-thousand page tome, is always over before you could even move your hand to pull the plug.

I'm not telling anyone that they should not use Eject if they so choose.  But what I am saying is that if you are confident that there is no write activity currently in process for a USB connected storage device that using Eject gains you nothing.  Some will always use it just for the comfort factor, and that's fine.   Just don't panic if you have to pull a drive without being able to do so that you know was not being written to at the time.

This appears not to work in Windows 10. I like Windows Media Player

I'd prefer not to have to learn a new program but that's an option I guess.

I am wondering about the level of accessibility of 1) putting up a blog on
wordpress.com directly versus 2) having Wordpress installed onto a hosted

the URL would be something like "myblog.wordpress.com." In the second
case,
the URL would be something like "myblog.com." That URL difference does
not,
per say, have anything to do with the accessibility of the website as far
as
using Wordpress to blog. It just illustrates the difference between the
two
approaches. On the one hand, going directly to wordpress.com is free
whereas the hosted site would involve some minor fees; but that is not
critical here. The hosted site (e.g., bluehost.com) is professionally
managed, is itself decently accessible and has great customer service.
And,
the hosted site has "one click" installation of Wordpress scripts and also
keeps that installation constantly up to date. I do like the simplicity of
having a clean URL like myblog.com as I would have with the hosted site,
though. So, the central question here is if there is much of an
accessibility difference between these two different approaches?

Thanks,

Richard
