This combo should work on the H.P., but it does not....neither does ins + F-11 for the system tray. Also on the H.P there is no applications key....I feel sure it is a two key combo, but don't know which two keys.

Yep, deffinitely looks different on chrome versus firefox.  It would be good to know if this is a jaws problem or a chrome problem.

When I check it out with chrome and nvda, I see empty clickables under
the university track heading, those aren't shown with jaws. Either way,
you would have difficulty.  I, personally, like the menu structure
better in firefox, I'll use chrome and its ad-blocking little brother
Brave on occasion, but I still do a lot in firefox just because it is
easier to get to my bookmarks.

Re: Space marker.

Hi, Michael. Here are three ways to stop announcement of space markers and paragraph markers.

To Stop Announcement of Paragraphs And Space markers

press ALT, then F for the file ribbon, then T for options dialog.

Type D or arrow to select the Display category and press TAB until you get to the "Show these formatting marks" on the screen section.

Make sure the following are unchecked (press the spacebar to check or uncheck and continue to TAB to the next setting):

Tab characters check box

Spaces check box

Paragraph marks check box

Show all formatting marks check box

the last one, the all checkbox, is important to uncheck.

keep pressing TAB to and SPACEBAR on the OK button.

Two Alternate Ways To Stop Announcement of Paragraph And Space Markers

1. Press CONTROL SHIFT 8 (on the numbers row.

Second Way:

Press ALT plus H, followed by 8 (on the numbers row)

hi all, today in school i experienced this problem with my school use computer.

I opened the new document that were sent by my Science and Geography teacher at different times. When I opened both documents I get this message. Every time I press down arrow Jaws told me there is a space marker. and my Braille display  showed the Symbol of dot 4 and Dot1-6 sign. Can someone please figure out what is this and how to trouble shoot? All comments are greatly appreciate it.

There’s no other text? It just says space marker and you see those docs on your braille display? What was happening before this started? Also, what version of jaws are you running? And what version of Windows?  That was supposed to be dots.

I have used Internet Explorer and Firefox on a couple of sites I visit. Both of these browsers show links that Chrome does not. One of these sites is www.myfreelanceu.com which is a site that I am taking courses on.

Firefox and IE show the University Tracks, Live Training and Tutorials and Resources links and headings but I don't see these links with Chrome.

Creating a google doc in Chrome?

Maria Reyes

Hi!

I am using Jaws 2018 on a Win10 laptop. I am trying to create a Google doc with Chrome. I can get as far as hitting the create new document button, and when I press enter, I get a template dialogue, Jaws says blank so I hit enter, but the document doesn’t come up, or at least Jaws doesn’t indicate that the doc has been created.

Is it possible to do this without a pair of working eyeballs?

Hi Kevin,

Try the following:
1. Press, Control + A, to select the entire  document.
2. Now press, Control + 2, for double line spacing.
If you press, Control + 5, your  spacing will be a line and a half.
Pressing, Control + 1, will put your spacing back to single  line.
Take Care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.
