Hi,

I’ve heard that access 2007 is the latest version that works well with Jaws?  Is this true?  Is the accessibility problem in the inputting of data and reading the fields, or in designing your data base?

How does Access work with NBDA?

Does anyone use a data base that works well with Jaws?  If so, which one?

Thanks much.

Hi guys,
I am taking an economics class and one of our assignments is to create our own fake business. We also have to create a website along with it. We have to use Google sites. Is that accessible with Jaws?
Thanks.

Hi all!

Here is a folder of text tutorials going over how to use Win10 with JAWS, and you will not need professional help!

Jim Flusche did these tutorials, and they slowly take you through how to do each concept with Windows 10 and JAWS. We have his permission to share these!

All you have to do is press enter on this direct download link, and you can save the folder!

They are text tutorials, so they will download from my drop box link very quickly!

Here is my direct download  Drop Box link to this folder of many Win10 and JAWS tutorials.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ur56izaanlcysuz/AACnbvdS5_lHIesfMQYEBCX0a?dl=1

Let me know if you can get these and learn from them!

I can’t believe what I read about these people who give help!

I do much more than that for free LOL!

Have a great one!

My experiences were similar.  The sighted trainer quit or got fired by the agency that hired her without finishing the job, promised she would not leave before finishing and of course left me hanging.  The blind person would not keep appointments, frequently sleeping through the time, set out.  He lived by his iPhone yet I guess did not feel it was important enough to keep his iPhone charged or the appointment itself. He played the blind card.  “A blind person cannot tell whether it is night or day.” Try pulling that a 9-5 job.    Upon reflection his boss was the same sighted person that left me and another blind person high and dry.  Thus what do you expect. When I asked that same agency for help they said the sighted person was just doing me a favour by helping me and they could not and would not help.  Helping me?  She dragged it out for at least a year.  I would suggest she was helping herself, not me.  .

I once hired a blind friend who held himself out as an access trainer to help with a PC issue.  He actually made things worse, and right in the middle of everything he said that his paratransit ride was coming and he had to leave.

Never a truer word has been spoken.  I remember a couple of people offered or did help with something I needed help with.  The one offering help at cost of course, his spelling was so atrocious that I wondered if he cares so little about spelling and grammar, how could he do a good job on what I wanted? Of course, that is just me.  Some don’t care.

The e-mail address issue was one cause by a JAWS group setting.  It has been corrected so that even I now see the full address in the original message (and Mario's which has no embedded space).

Rayn,

If you were attempting to give an e-mail address for Roger
Cusson it did not paste correctly.   All that's available is
"seeing_hands@" followed by three dots (literally), or at least that's
all I'm seeing on the web interface, which is now supposed to allow me
to see full e-mail addresses in message bodies.

If others can see the whole thing, please let me know by
using the "Reply to Sender" link that will be at the bottom of this
message.  I'd need to take this up either with the group owner or the
site owner as the issue could be in one of several places.

And all of your last message, that started, "There are dozens . . .," is showing up normally, black text on white background in the web interface.  Just wanted you to know, as I can't explain what's been going on here and it's the first time I've encountered in in my time on Groups.io.

Sarah,

I have been told that the issue was not present in your actual e-mail message for e-mail readers.   I read via the web interface, so I've asked the group owner whether e-mail address masking is still turned on when viewing the archive.   If it is, that explains the situation, if it isn't, then I need to file a bug report with Groups.io support.

By the way, in the latter half of your original message and all of this one, your text is coming through as white on black background in the web interface, which I've never seen happen before.  Are you using something that does this?

Brian and others,

Hmm, I saw it when my message came through. I'm going to post it again with a space after the @. Apologies for that making it unclickable. Roger Cusson's email: seeing_hands@ roadrunner.com

Thanks Brain for bringing that to my attention, apologies for any confusion.

There are just under 600 members at the moment and we're anticipating "the next wave" of members when Windows 7 hits end of life in January.

I dont know of any. But it is just a matter of getting used to a few changes. most settings are like 7 but some arent. There are also new ones that are intended for phones that dont have any use to us and can be ignored.

Here is a link to everything I have that may help you:

Just so we're clear, do you mean a footnote or a page footer?   I suspect the latter.

It will also matter if you just want to remove a footer, if that's what you're actually removing, from the first page, a single subsequent page, or all pages.
