Robin,

I am not having the issue, as I reported yesterday. Here is my 365 info:

Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14326.20384) 32-bit

Sounds like a newer version so possibly that is why?

Phillip,

That is interesting. I’ll have to test the issue you have in the navigation pane. I tend to use Control Y to switch folders, so I haven’t really tested the method you use.   I do have Teams installed on this PC and not on my home machine.   I am using Microsoft Outlook Subscription Version 16.0.13127.21736, so a slightly older version from you.

Hello Robin,

You can up your count to at least four people. That's not the only interesting quirk I've noticed recently though.

When I want to switch folders, I have to hit enter twice on the new folder. So, for example, I want to check my junk folder. I move to the folders list, arrow down to junk, and I hit enter. Nothing happens. If i hit enter again it will open the folder. The same thing happens when I move to deleted items or back to my inbox or whereever.

I have two ideas worth checking on. Who with this problem has Teams installed? I can't speak for the switching to contacts issue because I just realized I have it, but the pressing enter twice on a folder began sometime after I installed teams last week. Second, microsoft says they release new features of Office 365 slowly to users. It is possible that those of us with this problem have a different build. What build number does everyone have? Mine is 16.0.14326.20404.

Re: unable to find the enhancements tab on the speeker property page.

Phillip Gross

Keep in mind that the process I am about to give you will make your inturnal speakers sound quieter and tinny. If you want to switch to High Definition Audio, go to the device manager, go to Realtek audio in sounds, go to properties and update driver, Select find on computer, uncheck the show only compadible hardware box, and under microsoft you will find High Definition Audio. Install that.

Re: book share books

Adrian Spratt

On the Bookshare page where you find a book you want to download, press c, the navigation key for combo box, until you land on the format choices. Press enter to open the list, alt-down arrow once, and then arrow down (without the alt key) through them. Press enter on your choice, and the book should install on your computer.

If you have JAWS, you have FSReader, so you will be able to use DAISY versions. MS Word is also an option.

If this isn’t enough information, please post again.

One of the download options is as a Word document. If you use Microsoft Word you could read the book.

Re: book share books

Richard Turner

Bookshare books can be downloaded as Word documents and you could read them in Word.

Or, they can be downloaded as DAISY Text so you would need a DAISY reader, which FS Reader is one that comes with Jaws, so you could try that.

They used to offer a free version of victor reader Software, but I haven’t looked at that since I only want to read their books on my iPhone where I use Voice Dream Reader.

Unless they have changed (it has, admittedly, been year since I was a
bookshare member) FS Reader is able to deal with them. And that either
is, or at least can be, installed as part of jaws.
