Re: Hello All Jaws2019 Gmail question on bcc Addison here
Gmail is irrelevant here. You're using the Outlook 2007 e-mail client, so it's a feature of the client. All e-mail services allow BCC and how one gets it to display in a given e-mail client is a feature of the client.

Dude seriously. Even if we wanted to help or possibly had the answer to your question, how do you expect us to decipher these messages? Just a little effort is all. Otherwise, it’s a straight delete key action.

Good afternoon, no disrespect, you really need to do something about your typing, it's really not readable. or you need to use a spellchecker, which may not even work. never the less, to get the BCC field in outlook,
1, ctrl+n=new message, 2, alt+p=options, 3, press the letter b=bcc, so, alt+p/b
The impossible is the untried, Never under estimate the power of a dream.

Re: New Dropbox Navigation
Alternatively just delete the Dropbox shortcut from your desktop and create a new shortcut which points to your Dropbox folder.

Hi,
I have tried doing the operation as described below to get DB to open in Windows Explorer, like how the older version worked. However, so far I have not been successful at making this setting stick. Is there some trick to try, or some other way of accomplishing this?
Thanks, Richard

Howdy All,
I just ran into an issue with Dropbox where it wouldn't let me acces my files. Well, it turned out that it wanted to update and after downloading the installer and reinstalling Dropbox navigating the folders flat out sucked, so here's how to change the necessary setting for easier navigation.
1. Open Dropbox from the system tray, tab to, Access and Manage your Dropbox settings button, and press enter.
2. Now tab to, Preferences, and press enter.
3. On the General tab, tab to the, Open folders in Dropbox combobox, open this combobox and choose the, Explorer, option. With Jaws you can open this combobox with Alt + down arrow and then up arrow to the Explorer option and press enter to close the combobox. Now tab to, Okay, and press enter to save and close preferences. Note: This can act a little tricky so it might take a couple of attempts to get the Explorer settings change to stick. If you have a shortcut key that opens Dropbox options, after you openDropbox up arrow to, Preferences, press enter and follow step 3 from above.

Maybe call Microsoft Accessibility and see if they can help you to get it changed.

Re: I am looking for the following type of laptop
Any laptop with at least 1 spot for a 2.5 inch drive nowadays should also be able to take an M.2 form factor SSD. Those are SSD's which are basically a card you plug into a slot in your laptop and you can then use the 2.5 inch drive bay for either another SSD or a traditional hard drive. SSD prices are coming down fast as capacities go up, here is one example of a 1 Tb SSD which is $229 Canadian, probably would be $179 or so in the US: Samsung MZ-N6E1T0BW 860 EVO M.2 SATA III 1 TB Internal SSD Unless you need more than 1 Tb of space I’d seriously consider spending the money for a drive like that rather than spending $80 or $100 for a smaller SSD and another $50 to $70 for a larger regular hard drive since it will of course greatly impact the battery life of the laptop to run two drives and in the end you wouldn’t save that much. If of course you need 2 or 4 Tb it’s a different story. Also, if the laptop has a DVD drive and you don’t need it you can get very inexpensive little caddies which allow you to put a regular 2.5 or 3.5 inch hard drive into the spot where the DVD drive usually goes.

Hello everyone:
I am looking for either a brand name laptop or one I can build myself or have built for me, which has room for not only the system hard drive but also has an additional hard drive for data.
I want the speed of an SSD drive and an HDD drive for storing my data files.
I have looked on the internet for a laptop with this configuration, with no success.
Any ideas?

You'd be in the market for a ggaming laptop, which most likely meets your needs. I own a Lenovo thinkpad x1 extreme which can hold 2 solid state drives. Note that a 1 tb solid state drive can now be found for less than $100 - and the speed is so very worth it. So in theory, you could have 2 1 tb drives installed in there. I'm not sure what your budget is - but it's a very solid machine that will last me for years to come. The keyboard is absolutely fantastic, the build quality is top notch and it's very, very serviceable. Thanks

Sometimes, yes, and sometimes not. It appears to be kind of random. I'm thinking it's my configuration somewhere, but I'll have to poke around.

The one that got installed from Windows update. It's an NVidia k2200 card, and when I checked their drivers it seemed to be the same version as what was in Windows update, but I can check for other conflicts. It's probably something obscure. I'll have a look at this, thank you, and see where I get to.

David, have you established for sure it is not Jaws running out of demo time? If you reboot your computer and then start Jaws and work with it for say half an hour, do you run into problems in that first half hour directly after the restart?

I know that sounds weird but hey the windows desktop environment is very complicated and who knows what interactions are taking place have a good day shan I would suggest calling Microsoft access ability desk because it may be some obscure setting is causing you grief because a year ago when I update it to 1803 my jaws would work fine with word excel however when I tried to use Internet explore chrome or Firefox to go on the Internet my keyboard echo would not report what I was typing correctly The solution and it up being liking my video monitor into landscape mode and as soon as I locked it in landscape mode G keyboard echo reported what I was typing correctly That solution came from the Microsoft accessibility helpdesk

Yes', I did not know that, because it's not obvious. I'm just more or less testing before I try to figure out how to pay for it. The subscription model seems helpful, but I'm mostly looking at braille support. Also might get back into programming as well. I'd used JAWS for a bit a few years ago, but the license got dropped when the college stopped paying for it, and I was moving a lot, and so I didn't keep up with it. I'm just trying to work out the best accessibility for all my devices and make sure all the screen readers everywhere will do what people need as much as possible. Do you know if they need extra beta testers?
