I did not actually know this.

I found it. Might be fun to play with. I am looking for something to do a little video editing with, though I don't record my own vids.

NO. You can install any JAWS version you want on your system, and it will in fact not remove any other JAWS version.

Right now, I still use JAWS 2018 professional but own the disc for JAWS 2019—just never upgraded. Now, I’m going to be getting JAWS 2020. Do I need to install the JAWS 2019 before loading the 2020? Is there any advantage to doing so?
Thanks,

Re: How to stop JAWS from saying "normal" after I pressed JAWSKey+tab?
Richard B. McDonald
This may be an app specific setting, like for MS Word. And, that app specific setting can likewise be particular to one version of JAWS but not another, like in your situation. Check your app settings for whatever app is causing this problem, such as those for MS word. There, a specific setting does exist to speak document format conditions. That MS Word setting may carry into other MS Office apps as well, such as Outlook, and vis-a-versa.

Hi,
I tried all speech schemes and nothing going. I am using the classic right now and it says “normal” on every line. Rebooting does nothing either. As previously mentioned, its only in JAWS 2020 it was ok in JAWS 2019 so I really think it’s a bug in dealing with Office 365

This could be your speech scheme. Press jaws+alt+S to open the "Select a scheme" dialog. If your scheme name has the word "attributes" in it, that would be the reason you are hearing this. If you want JAWS to tell you Bold and Italic, but not normal, I believe this is obtainable.

Hi Ron,
I may have missed the beginning of this thread, but I use Office 365 and I would say I use Jaws 2020 Beta 95% of the time now and I have no such issue.

as I understand, the scripts aren't really necessary but they do provide

more efficient use of Goldwave. I was going to suggest to grab a copy of the scripts from the JAWS-users website, but it appears that the owner took down all of the site even though it was mentioned that he would have left everything except for subscribing to his accompanying mailing list to provide resources for his former subscribers. it's ashame. it was a good resource for a lot of stuff like scripts for JAWS and useful programs. if anyone knows of another resourse similar to JAWS-users, please let the list know.

Go to eBay I got my upgrade license to pro for $3.95. It's a legal key that was excepted no problems at all UK The UK pass a law allowing people to recycle keys when the machine is disposed of so their legal keys they're just really cheap.

I would guess that it would be less expensive to go
through Microsoft if you just want to upgrade.
I believe upgrading is cheaper than a full pro
