Re: [External] J2020.1910.54.400 Download Link + What's New
This is the first release of Jaws 2020 and the performance in some of my older legacy applications which I need all day long in my business is already like night and day. You may think Jaws 2020 is not worth an SMA, but the fact is that if you are now on Jaws 2019 and don’t have an upgrade left and wait until next year, you instantly use up your SMA because it is always sfor 2 major versions, so if you want Jaws 2021 next year you need to buy an SMA which covers Jaws 2020 and Jaws 2021. It really is one of the situations where you may as well keep your SMA current and take advantage of whatever new features are available as well as simple under the hood fixes and performance improvements. I am not sure what “something big” is supposed to be and why some people seem to think that whether it’s Jaws or the iPhone, every year some incredible, shocking new thing has to happen. These are all mature technologies and while from time to time some really great new feature comes along, for the most part the improvements will be evolutionary and not revolutionary.

I mean, having words pronounced correctly is elementary for a screen reader, especially one as expensive as JAWS. I sent them my JDF file, plus crash dumps detailing months of errors during the beta tests. They've duplicated my problem, but have no solutions to offer. I must therefore add words manually by navigating in the actual JDF file to the general alphabetic position where I want my entry to go. Then, I copy the previous entry in order to get the syntax exactly right, replace the original and replacement fields with the new entry and save the file. That's an ungodly amount of steps when there's a perfectly usable dictionary dialogue that won't save anymore entries. Orlando Enrique Fiol

Jaws can read the document if I select “edit in browser”, but the reading is a bit challenging.
I’m thinking this change must have occurred in some sort of an update to Office 365, but that is mere speculation on my part.
In addition, I’m still using Jaws 2019, and will be curious if the situation improves when I upgrade to Jaws 2020, which I’m planning to do soon.

Hello, everyone.
I have noticed a recent change in One Drive, and I can’t tell whether it is a Jaws or Microsoft issue.
It used to be that when I created a link to a One Drive Microsoft Word or text document file, and sent that link in an e-mail, the document could be opened and read as a Microsoft Word document in the normal way. In other words, you didn’t have to do anything in order to make the file readable.
Now, when I do this, I get a very confusing initial screen that I can’t figure out how to navigate. I get a message that says press alt shift A for accessibility help, but when I do this, Jaws does not read what’s on the screen.
Obviously, I’m missing a step here.
Can anyone with One Drive experience assist with this issue?
I’m using Windows 10 and Jaws 2019 with Office 365.

Then if you have a SMA there is no reason to skip a major update despite how little of a update it is. In the past however I remember when FS offered those with Open Book a update to the latest for the same price no matter what version you were currently using.
