Re: are there any differences between jaws pro and jaws commercial?
Randy Barnett
I think you mean Home and Pro. No they are the exact same code. Pro is for use in a business where you are an employee. Home is just as it implies, for use at home.

So if you use it to earn money they want you to pay more for the exact same product... Other than that they are the same program.

Re: How to navigate between two clocks with JAWS
Van Lant, Robin
You probably cannot do it with the JAWS F12 keystroke to check time, but if both clocks appear on your System tray in the bottom right of your screen, then you can try using Windows key B to get to the system tray, then arrowing left or right to hear the clocks. I usually find focus is at the far left of the icons in the system tray, so it is fastest to arrow left and focus will quickly circle around to the far right of the icons where the standard system clock is.

reply/forward headers in Thunderbird
Mario
since TB updated to 68, the Reply With Headers extension stopped
working. now when I reply or forward, the headers are formatted as the default header. is there a way to modify the default header or leave the default and add a custom one, and if so, what are the steps to do so? instead of using an extension, I prefer to create a custom header leaving the default untouched, thus merely switching to which I want to use.

Following your example, If you bought 2020 without an SMA, but you then wanted to buy an SMA for version 2023, You would pay an upgrade fee from 2020 to 2023 (not an SMA), then you would pay the additional fee for the SMA, for versions 2024, 2025. This is supposing Vispero are still using that scheme in 4 years time. That is what I had to do, when upgrading from 2014 to 2018. HTH Sincerely: Dave Durber

Given the relatively rapid development of Windows 10, you will find that in 2 or 3 or 4 years you may not be able to get the best experience from Windows 10 unless you also have the latest release of Jaws, furthermore new features are added which often can be very useful such as Picture Smart in Jaws 2019 or the new Jaws Scan cursor in Jaws 2020 which kicks in whenever you open a Windows 10 app such as the Calculator etc. If you don't get an SMA which entitles you to two full upgrades and you want to upgrade, say in 3 years, you then basically have to buy two sMA'S, the first to cover you for the two versions you missed and another to get you up to date. Re: Spotify Desktop program for Windows and accessibility tips if Iusing JAWS for Windows 2019 or 2020
JM Casey
I haven’t used this, but I’m picturing an interface that’s kind of like youtube’s player. In that case, yes, your method works great, but if you want quick keyboard commands to do these things rather than hunting around for the buttons … that’s why turning the virtual cursor off is best. Speaking for myself, there’s nothing more hateful than a media player (or whatever) that doesn’t have hotkeys. *grins*

I think turning virtual cursor off is a good tip but I must admit I never bother using it. If I want to jump to the buttons to control playback in Spotify I simply from anywhere on the spotify screen use control end to jump to the end of the playback buttons. I always land on the mute buttons and cursoring up a few times will land me on next play pause previous shuffle etc. I have never found a way of performing fast forward or rewing on Spotify, only next and previous tracks. Yeah, not sure about this programme specifically, but it sounds like the virtual cursor is on – any programme’s normal hotkeys will probably not work properly then. As was already said, you can turn this cursor on and off with insert-z. Very useful keystroke in web browsers, too.

Hi everyone
Have some person on this list some tips and tricks related to how I setup the Spotify Desktop program so I have the best accessibility with the screen reader JAWS for Windows, and also if I should make some adjustment in JAWS?
At the time I write here, I e.g. not can skip to the next song with the hotkeys in the Spotify desktop program (left control+right arrow) when JAWS running. I must closing JAWS with Insert+F4 before the hotkeys working.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
