Re: Is anyone else having jaws loosing focus?
Can you be a bit more specific? When this happens are you in an application, on the desktop? Does this happen if the computer is just sitting there and you are not touching it or does it happen if you are doing something, e.g. switching to another open application with Alt + Tab, while you are typing an email or doing other stuff? Try to give some examples. On my laptop Jaws said something like that a few days ago when I wasn't doing anything. When I checked it was sitting on some blank screen, I didn't have any applications open, but it wasn't focused on the desktop, either. As soon as I pressed Windows Key + M to put focus on the desktop that stopped.

Marty, I put the Windows 10 Win PE in my Open Drive. Here's a download link: https://od.lk/d/N18xNjQyNDQ5Mjdf/Win10PE_x86.ISO It is a version of windows that loads into RAM and you can even remove the boot media after it starts. With this you can do repairs or install Windows, get on-line and even listen
to audio. It also has a network scanner in this version to help you get on-line. You just cannot install to it because it will be gone on next boot-up. Yes, no password can be bypassed by taking out a small piece. I still would like to know about Windows passwords and if they can really be discovered as easily as Glen and some others here say they can. As for Apple, what was said is correct. This case was when those two people shot and killed a bunch of people during this Christmas party I think in California and I think it was now 2 years ago or maybe even 3. Apple said they can't get into the iPhone which, by the way, was not as secure as today's iPhones are, and I think the FBI hired some Israeli company who tried to get in, millions were spent and I honestly can't remember if they succeeded or not. As for the Face Id thing and a thief pointing it at you that is only correct to some degree. If somebody snatched your iPhone and stuck around all you would have to do is cover your Face with your hands if you are worried. At the same time if a thief stuck around they could just as easily grab your hand and put your finger on the Touch Id home button or, even better, ask you for the passcode. If somebody is that callus I doubt a lot of people would keep their passcode to themselves after a few slaps or punches or being shoved to the ground and kicked a few times which some such thieves probably have few scruples to do. The fact is that even if he can unlock your phone once with Face Id, he has to make sure it doesn't lock and having unlocked it with Face Id or Touch Id won't do them any good if they want to reset the phone to sell it or even if they want to get into it and disable or change the Face Id/Touch Id/PIN option. As soon as you go to Settings > Passcode you have to enter you passcode. Apple security is indeed very good, even if your phone was stolen and they have your PIN, you could wipe the phone and permanently disable it if you quickly log into iCloud and Find My iPhone also cannot be disabled without the passcode, the only way to stop it from working is to turn off the phone.

try looking for a software called konboot that should allow you to log in to those accounts with a password and remove them I think. otherwise you may have to re--install windows thus removing everything on the system and starting from scratch.

With this you can do repairs or install Windows, get on-line and even listen to audio.

Re: Used computer
true for windows passwords. but not for the motherboard bios password if it is enabled. this is what one poster was talking about with removing a pece from the computer. this would not remove the windows password. all you do is either remove the motherboard battery or move a jumper to another terminal to short it out for a few seconds with the power off and everything in the bios would be erased. includeing the motherboard password.

Re: Used computer
Marty, I put the Windows 10 Win PE in my Open Drive. Here's a download link: https://od.lk/d/N18xNjQyNDQ5Mjdf/Win10PE_x86.ISOIt is a version of windows that loads into RAM and you can even remove the boot media after it starts. With this you can do repairs or install Windows, get on-line and even listen to audio. It also has a network scanner in this version to help you get on-line. You just cannot install to it because it will be gone on next boot-up. Glenn

I tried asking both Alexa and my Google Home Mini to play “FS Cast Podcast” and both got it wrong.
Then I asked Google to play “Freedom Scientific Podcast” and it worked fine and it started playing the latest episode.
I asked Alexa the exact same thing “Play Freedom Scientific Podcast” and it said “Sorry, I don’t know that one”.
This confirms my experience before, when it comes to Podcasts and such the Google Home Mini is much better at it than Alexa.

change it, not retrieve it. I believe passwords are encrypted into the

good as knowing the original, as you then log into that account with the
password you created and the original password is no longer valid. It is
all the product keys that you can display as well with that Win PE and that
is what I recalled one of the utilities showing . I had one friend who
let her sister use her computer and that was around the time when Microsoft
released Windows 10 as an update which pissed off lots of people, her sister
thought that she was just updating my friend's computer and she actually
upgraded it to 10 and when it rebooted, it needed to create an account with
a password, and her sister forgot what she put in, so my friend could not
