I don’t know that synth, but I like the song and have downloaded it.
It is a very cool cover of the Who song.

Hi,
I know that some of you really know all the
synthesizers, and there is this synthesizer used in a Limp Bizkit song, it
spells out limp.
I would like to know the name of the synth
used.
I think it sounds like the one in the movie War
Games but I'm not sure.
The link will download the song.

I wish there was a software synth that is like that. Maybe I could work eSpeak to sound that way. Glenn

yep, a Speak and Spell, popular in the mid to end 70s and in the 80s as well. It had cartridges with different vocabulary on it, but you couldn't really use it as a computer synth. It was a stand-alone thing with some sort of capacitive buttons for kids to learn how to spell, made by Texas Instruments. I think there even was a version with a complete Braille sheet to label all the buttons and make it accessible.

I really like the utility, I can copy and paste to the folder I have there, and if I want a file, I can just copy and paste to my computer. And when I want to send a link to someone like I did with these, I just press applications on it and press L for links and tab to download link and copy and paste that into an eMail. Glenn

Some computers need a USB sound card in order for you to hear NVDA

If this is the case, you can get one from WalMart for around $10.

Marty, I put the Windows 10 Win PE in my Open Drive. Here's a download link: https://od.lk/d/N18xNjQyNDQ5Mjdf/Win10PE_x86.ISO It is a version of windows that loads into RAM and you can even remove the boot media after it starts. With this you can do repairs or install Windows, get on-line and even listen
to audio. It also has a network scanner in this version to help you get on-line. You just cannot install to it because it will be gone on next boot-up. Yes, no password can be bypassed by taking out a small piece. I still would like to know about Windows passwords and if they can really be discovered as easily as Glen and some others here say they can. As for Apple, what was said is correct. This case was when those two people shot and killed a bunch of people during this Christmas party I think in California and I think it was now 2 years ago or maybe even 3. Apple said they can't get into the iPhone which, by the way, was not as secure as today's iPhones are, and I think the FBI hired some Israeli company who tried to get in, millions were spent and I honestly can't remember if they succeeded or not. As for the Face Id thing and a thief pointing it at you that is only correct to some degree. If somebody snatched your iPhone and stuck around all you would have to do is cover your Face with your hands if you are worried. At the same time if a thief stuck around they could just as easily grab your hand and put your finger on the Touch Id home button or, even better, ask you for the passcode. If somebody is that callus I doubt a lot of people would keep their passcode to themselves after a few slaps or punches or being shoved to the ground and kicked a few times which some such thieves probably have few scruples to do. The fact is that even if he can unlock your phone once with Face Id, he has to make sure it doesn't lock and having unlocked it with Face Id or Touch Id won't do them any good if they want to reset the phone to sell it or even if they want to get into it and disable or change the Face Id/Touch Id/PIN option. As soon as you go to Settings > Passcode you have to enter you passcode. Apple security is indeed very good, even if your phone was stolen and they have your PIN, you could wipe the phone and permanently disable it if you quickly log into iCloud and Find My iPhone also cannot be disabled without the passcode, the only way to stop it from working is to turn off the phone.

try looking for a software called konboot that should allow you to log in to those accounts with a password and remove them I think. otherwise you may have to re--install windows thus removing everything on the system and starting from scratch.

I sure the original source was still up. The only trouble with the originals were that they come as executables with self-burning software. I had to use 7Zip to open the EXE archives and extract the ISO images. If I knew how to make a checksum, I could make one of my image and send that to you to test for corruption. Re: Trouble reading email
I wonder if you are experiencing the annoyance of Jaws going into virtual mode when you open eMails. You need to do insert Z to turn that off, and if it says virtual cursor off, that may be the issue. I often have to alt tab to a folder and back to make Jaws read the message. Glenn

Marty, Bryan's does not have any utilities, only the ones by Carlos, with eSpeak, which I don't like, but hey, it works. You used Carlos's WinPE. Other than the voice difference and the utilities difference, one would be as good as the other for whatever. But I usually need the utilities, so I use Carlos's with the crappy eSpeak. Hi,
Without sighted assistance, How can you be sure it did not boot?
Some computers need a USB sound card in order for you to hear NVDA
while running the Windows PE.
If this is the case, you can get one from WalMart for around $10.

This entire security thing seems as farcical as face I D on iPhones. In order to get into your iPhone all the thief needs to do is point the device at you and poof he or she can use your device. I'm sure I am wrong but a computer tech told me years ago all one needs to do to use a password protected computer is take out a small piece and then anyone can use it after that.

try looking for a software called konboot that should allow you to log in to those accounts with a password and remove them I think. otherwise you may have to re--install windows thus removing everything on the system and starting from scratch.

Trouble reading email
I am using W 10, latest jaws and outlook 2019 for email and having the following problem. When I press enter to read an email jaws reads the heading which is name and subject and then stops and then says message read only and at this time I press insert key and down arrow and jaws reads the body of the email perfectly. I have checked every setting that I can think of many times over but nothing helps. Doing a reset does nothing. I would appreciate greatly any help on this as it is annoying but I can live with it if I have to. Thanks much,

Re: Accessible app to map menu key
I can look at sharp keys options tomorrow when I have more time but off the top of my head if you go to the key to change drop down combo box and select the alt control key if it is there, then all you need to do is to go to the next list and select left alt as your remapped key. This will mean that in effect you will have 2 left alt keys mapped onto your keyboard layout physically arranged either side of your keyboard. I think this is what I do with the windows keys, in fact I have 2 left windows keys on my keyboard but to all practical purposes it is a right windows key and behaves as such. The same would be the case with 2 left alt keys. David Griffith should nevertheless Sent from Mail for Windows 10

It is extremely easy. Just hit the add button, then select the key you want to change from a drop down list and then tab to the next drop down list and nominate the key you want to replace it with. In this case the application key – the list is alphabetical but this key might be preceded with the word special in the list. Then get Sharp Keys to write to registry and then restart windows. For example On my keyboard I always change the right alt key by the space bar into a right windows keys. The reason I do this is that most of the useful windows key commands that I use are on the left hand side of the keyboard. Off the top of my head I can only think of window key M and Windows key command I use which uses letters from the right hand side. In contrast there are loads on the left hand side. I find it easier then to use commands like windows E, windows T, Windows D, windows R,, windows S, windows X, windows a and B, using my right hand to hold the new windows key and hit the letter keys with my left hand. My fingers get mangled if I try to do all this from the left windows key. I know I miss out on a few alt type commands but in my experience you can more often just press the left alt key and then just keep on pressing keys. Some computers need a USB sound card in order for you to hear NVDA

Some computers need a USB sound card in order for you to hear NVDA
while running the Windows PE.
If this is the case, you can get one from WalMart for around $10.

Hello Glen:
I do not know if anybody else will have the same problem as I did.
I Downloaded the 64 bit .iso file from the link you provided
Unfortunately, when I created a USB bootable media from the .iso file, and plugged it into my laptop and turned it on, nothing happened, it did not boot.

Sorry for the mix-up, but here's the 64 bit one. BTW, other than installing Windows, most things would work the same if your computer is a 64 bit, so for many things the first link is useful too. https://od.lk/d/N18xNjUxMDQ1Nzhf/Win10PE_x64.ISO Glenn

Shoot, then I copied the wrong link, I'll send another. I have to upload it to OD, I thought I had put it up there, but it's only on my computer. The 64 has an X in the name too, and I wasn't paying enough attention. As soon as it gets finished uploading, I'll send the link. Your link contains " Win10PE_x86.ISO" which would indicate it's a 32 bit version since normally X64 indicates a 64 bit version.

It's 64 bit, but I may have a 32 bit if anyone has to have it. Glenn ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Bentley" <bentleyj1952@att.net> To: <main@jfw.groups.io> Sent: Sunday, November 17, 2019 5:48 PM Subject: Re: Used computer
Hi Glen,
Is this download that you posted for Win10 32 bit?
If so, do you have this PE in Win10 64 bit?
Regards,
James B

Marty, I put the Windows 10 Win PE in my Open Drive. Here's a download link: https://od.lk/d/N18xNjQyNDQ5Mjdf/Win10PE_x86.ISO It is a version of windows that loads into RAM and you can even remove the boot media after it starts. With this you can do repairs or install Windows, get on-line and even listen
to audio. It also has a network scanner in this version to help you get on-line. You just cannot install to it because it will be gone on next boot-up. Please pardon my ignorance here, but what is talking Win PE and how do I get it?

If you burn the talking Win PE to disk or USB and boot up, you can detect all the passwords on your computer with a tool that is on it. That is the Win PE with eSpeak, not the one with Eloquence.

I would love to know what that computer tech meant by taking out a small piece! ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Diamond" <Daviddiamond2019@outlook.com> To: <main@jfw.groups.io> Sent: Saturday, November 16, 2019 6:28 PM Subject: Re: Used computer

I have a used computer that a neighbor gave me. It is a Windows7 OS. It has 3 password protected user accounts on it that are using 2/3 of the hard drive space. I don't know the passwords. Is there any way that I can remove these accounts? Can this computer be restored to factory fresh without a Windows 7 disk?
