Have not highlighted anything. Asking if there is something to highlight to activate the unhide button. Can you highlight columns that are hidden?
Thanks,

Hello: I was sent a spread sheet with hidden cells. How can I unhide these columns? I did find a unhide button under the view menu but it states unavailable and does not work. Do I need to highlight something or something else to get it to work? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Re: function key row on keyboard stopped working
Chris Hill
I could imagine the function keys being changed by an accidental key combination, this happens on some keyboards. The other keys, though, I've never heard of being effected by such a thing. I'd probably hunt down a manual for the keyboard before i gave up.

OT: Real ID documentation requirements
I promise I will not post about this again, but since I've opened the proverbial "can of worms" and it's clear that many are interested, I thought I'd follow up with a dedicated topic. I know that the main focus of the group is discussing JAWS.
The legislation that created the Real ID requirement is federal, so the documentation options really don't vary from state to state. It appears that California has a Real ID document selection sequence of pages that do not require you to be logged in to any account here: https://realid.dmv.ca.gov/your-real-id-checklist/ I started went through it and, at the end, it gives you the list of things you need to collect and bring with you based on what you indicated you had available when filling out the checklist. The one and only discrepancy with the requirements that Virginia has is that Virginia will not accept a mobile phone bill, only a landline phone bill, for proof of residency. California will accept a mobile phone bill indicating your home address. I hope that folks who need to get a Real ID identification card will find this online checklist useful, even if they don't live in California. If you can find one in your own state's DMV website, definitely use it instead. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Tolerance is the positive and cordial effort to understand another's beliefs, practices, and habits without necessarily sharing or accepting them. ~ Joshua Liebman

Re: jaws 2020 speech issue with Bluetooth headphones
Don Mauck
I need to share this. I installed Silenzio last week on my Lenovo T470 ThinkPad and the sound on my laptop became very unstable. There was a lot of buzzing and big time stuttering. To the point of delaying keystrokes while typing. I finally had to uninstall it, however, that was also a problem as the uninstall did not clean out the registry nor did it remove the startup folder in Program Files (x86). I took cleaning the registry manually, disabling the program in the system startup and then I was able to manually delete the entire folder. I had to restart my laptop after disabling Silenzio in the startup menu before I was allowed to delete the above mentioned folder. By no means is this an attack on Silenzio, but I feel this should be part of the conversation.

Yes, try it out. It made my Bluetooth headset usable again. It is not %100 but definitely usable.
Prior to November 2019, my aftershock was %100 usable without it, but a window’s update broke my setup.

I went through the Google disability help web site, and found a link to have a phone call. I filled it out, and the technician called me in just a minute or so. Worked well, and he is researching the best way to navigate the translation service with JAWS. I was able to do it successfully by just playing around, but it is a bit awkward. But, it works.
