Edge is available for Windows 7 and works fine, after all, it's just another chromium based browser.

Yes, you can select a different search provider.

I have an old laptop with windows 7, jaws 2020, and have downloaded chrome and edge.

I put edge as my homepage but am not keen about bing.  Would it be possible to have edge as my homepage but get google to do the searching.  If so, how would I accomplish that?  Also, if not, is there anything else I can use and get rid of bing?  Also, do I get rid of internet explorer or just leave it there?  I do still use it for some things but  find it is less and less responsive and useful with jaws.

Sometimes if you invoke picture smart, alt_spacebar, then p, then c you can read the text on the shared screen.

I’m still getting this behavior with Rord and Outlook 2016.

Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don’t.

Repairing Word and Outlook helped but it’s still happening to some extent.

I am using Windows 10 latest update and Jaws 2019. The Office suite is 2019 single version, not 360. Happens when apps close, such as Windows, Excel and other apps as paint, etc.

Yes, this is same issue I believe.  JAWS either goes silent or crashes and restarts but takes up to 30 seconds.  This is with latest Windows 10 and JAWS installed.

I am sure what is sent out is a picture of what is on there screen.  There would be no reason to send control information and text when a picture of it would be simpler.  No screen reader is going to be able to read it.

Not sure if that helps or not?

Hi, Jim. I have a gmail account, and it is just another domain with email addresses. I tend to want to use my Internet Service Provider's email address, because, if anything goes wrong, I am paying for their service, and they will help me resolve problems. With a free gmail account, this is not true, and if something goes wrong, there is no one to call to help with a problem. There are lots of forums to which you can turn, and lots of information on Google.
