There is also a Zoom group for the blind.  Personally I don’t like it because they are narrow minded.  When I asked about texting someone while on Zoom they promptly booted me off. Claiming it was not zoom related.  Guess the marijuana kicked in that day.

Not so, according to Audible itself. The MS app doesn’t permit the download of files. They tell us to use the Audible Sync app, where you transfer files directly from the app to the device. That said, are they wrong, and are you able to download Audible books using the MS app?

My guess is this is the root of the problem.  Most multifunction printer/scanner/fax machines allow you to do single envelopes from the "quick feed" if you so choose, but you can also put them in the main paper tray (and always with print side down if using the main tray) and adjust the edge rails.

But if you don't set your paper type in MS-Word, for instance, to Envelope #10 (I'm presuming a standard business envelope here), the print will hang in most cases because you have an envelope in the machine, but the paper type is most likely set to letter.

I always make my self a blank envelope file that I keep as my permanent template, where I've saved same with the paper type set to envelope.

Not that simple, I expect.  Before you print you may need to check the printer options in the envelope dialog, they may not be set right.  Some printers even have a single sheet feed option that is great for envelopes.

Nope.  It is all done inside the printer.  I just use k1000's copy feature when I need to copy, and it is done on the computer, instead.  The reason nothing happened on your printer is that it probably needed more information such as whether you needed to reduce or enlarge, and that would be done on the printer's screen.

I have just recently purchased a Brother printer.  One feature it has which I like is a Copy feature.  Yesterday I was intending to make a copy of something to send to my sister-in-law.  I thought that all you had to do was put the paper you wanted to copy on the scanner which is part of the printer and then hit the Copy button and the copy would then be made onto a sheet of paper you have in your tray.  When I pressed the Copy button, nothing happened, so I was wondering if JAWS could aid me in this process.

You can do many things, when you use a WPE or TWPE

Completely erase a system drive, which, obviously, you could not do, if you wer running a session of Windows.

You can use a 3rd party software package to restore a backed up image of a system drive, created by, for example, Macrium or Image for Windows, again, you cannot do that, if you are in a Windows session.

2 examples of why you need to use, a WPE or, a TWPE or, something else, which allows you to do certain things, outside the constrictions while any operating system is running.

Again, Windows will do all that by itself, just boot the media and do
control-enter-windows and you will get narrator if the sound driver is
supported.

You don't need it anymore, if you are using Windows 10 recent

Hello, everyone!
My name is Jasmine, and I am happy to be part of this group. A bit about me: I am 31 years old, and I am totally blind. I have been a JAWS user since 2007. I was also wondering, does anyone know a good way to obtain all of the JAWS commands for zoom?

Hello baqck,

ok. Great! I had no idea, I have only known of this so very helpful jaws list. Gladly I would love to preferably use such a list for my iPhone questions. Can someone maybe let me know what the email address is to subscribe to this iPhone questions mailing list for the visually impaired? Much, much thanks in advance for any help I can maybe get with this.

Gang,

There’s a list specifically for iPhone issues. Perhaps that would be a better place for this than a list specifically for JAWS issues?

Good morning,

I am really sorry that this is way off topic. I am really hoping someone can tell me how to fix this. I have a iPhone6 and right now even when my iPhone is for sure on, the screen is completely blac, even after I press the home button to see if maybe doing this will bring back my normal working screen so you can once again properly see all the butttons on my iPhone6 to do different things, this does not fix my completely blac screen problem. I cannot even turn it off, wait a few minutes and then turn it back on to see if this maybe fixes my completely black screen problem, because you cannot see the power button to swipe it to turn it off then back on again.

My wife who can see told me that you cannot see the power button to swipe it because the whole screen is completely black.

Does anyone maybe have any ideas on how I can fix this completely black screen problem I am currently having on my iPhone6? note, I kno that for sure my iPhone6 is for sure turned on because I can still use sery by pressing the home button to make calls and then properly hang up, but the whole screen is completely black on my iPhone6. I am really hoping someone can help me with this. Much, much, much thanks in advance for any possible help with my completely black screen problem on my iPhone6.

Kindest regards,

totally blind fellow Hank

So she doesn’t remember who installed jaws2020  on her laptop and programs her computer too. So I told her there is no way I can do jaws tandem if she doesn’t have jaws window screen on her laptop !! What does she need to do to get jaws windows to be activate on window screen to say jaws ??  Does anyone have any idea on other way I can do jaws tandem on her laptop ?

Typically you need to use the bypass tray for envelope printing.  There is usually a visual interpretation printed on the bypass tray to direct you on how to place the envelope.  It shows if the flap should be up or down and if the flap should be on the right or left.
Typically you will need some sighted assistance the first time so you can make notes for future reference.

It may be able to, at least indirectly.    A more direct approach would be getting sighted assistance to look at what the printer display (I'm presuming it has one) might be saying, whether that assistance is "in the flesh" or via Be My Eyes or Aira.

Does the machine make any sort of noise whatsoever when you hit the copy key?  They can be set up to scan/copy to the computer, resulting in a file rather than print copy.

If it's not making any noise, you're probably going to have to find out what the status is on its display before you can move forward.  If it is making noise, you may be able to use JAWS with the configuration software to switch it from doing "to computer" copy/scan to doing "to print."

Also, most of these machines have a copy button, which really should typically produce a hard copy, and a scan button.  If you're hearing activity, you may have activated the scan button rather than copy.  I can't really know how this machine is set up without a model number to go on.

Do you know how to insert an envelope into the Brother printer?  I thought all you needed to do was take the paper out of the paper tray, put the envelope in, adjust the guides around the envelope, put the paper tray into the computer and then just print.  I have tried this, but it is not working.  Do you know what I could be doing wrong?
