Re: reading Backblaze status with jaws2020?

Have you tried using the touch cursor to see what may be on the screen?

Hi, I’m using Backblaze to backup my computer. I started a backup last night, and its still going now.
I’d like to know how to read the status, to see what’s going on.
It says, “pause backup” in the middle of my screen, but I’m sure there’s more info, that jaws just isn’t telling me.
Can someone tell me how to read this other info?
Thanks,
Jessica

Re: Extending JAWS License to June 30
David Diamond
I agree. Of course I don’t make those decisions. Even venders give out samples and a lot of software or programs you can try it out for a week or a month and if you don’t like it, just cancel the service.

hmmm, this free license will only work till june 30 of 2020 but would be a good way to try jaws without a time limit, lol and decide if you wish to purchase a copy or not. they should do this from time to time to give people a chance to really try the software with no restrictions other than the tandum feature.

Re: Adjusting speech rate in say all
Mario
to add my 2 cents to this discussion, the combination to permanently raise or lower the rate affects the overall speed (of everything), not just during a say all. sorry if this appears to be obvious to some, but just wanted to point that out.

Re: HeidiSQL
Scott Wheat
Hello,
Maria DB works just fine if you use the mysql command line interface. HeidiSQL is a GUI front end / work bench and so far I have not had any success using it with JAWS. I don’t know everything that can be done with HeidiSQL, but you should be able to do everything from the command line, but it is more typing as you have to write everything rather than pointing and clicking and having the tool help you write queries, create tables etc.
Good luck!
Scott

Hello Fellow Listers,
Sometime between Summer of this year and Winter 2021, I have to take a course using databases. The primary software(s) that is required to be used is Maria DB and HeidiSQL. Has anyone had any experience with either one or both? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thx,

Re: Google docs navigation
Pramit
Hi Anna, If the ESC does't work then try one thing as the focus might have moved back to cells rather than Menu. Press ALT + / now once the focus goes back to the menu press ESC. Pramit

Re: Extending JAWS License to June 30
David Diamond
I would encourage him to take advantage of this offer and if at all possible to get the 1 year subscription, unless he lives in Canada. I phoned today to check up on the cost to continue my SMA to 2022. The cost I was quoted was $350 for a 2 year extension. Even with the exchange rate on $90 U S, that comes no where near $350. I suspect like some of the Amazon reps after 10 PM at night, this man had his mind somewhere else even though it was just 2 PM in the afternoon. I guess this is the cost of people working from their homes now, till this virus runs its course.

Do you currently have an active JAWS 2020 license? If yes, is it’s expiration date after 6/30/2020? If you answered “no” to either question I would call FS at 800-444-4443. I had an expired 2019 version and had no issue adding the 3 month license to my portal. Regards, Jim Weiss jimweiss72@icloud.com “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. I have also tried taking through the menu (which I would hate to have to do every time) but that didn’t get me back to the document area. Also tried alt tab to go to other window and then back and that didn’t do anything. Also tried f5 to refresh page (although I don’t think it was an issue with the page, but who knows) but that didn’t do anything! Any ideas would be appreciated! Be well, Anna

What email address does someone need to use in order to take advantage of this offer as tried myself to sig into the portal and used one of my personal email addresses and filled out the rest needed and was turned down and or didn't qualify for the free three month extension.

Hello Fellow Listers,
Sometime between Summer of this year and Winter 2021, I have to take a course using databases. The primary software(s) that is required to be used is Maria DB and HeidiSQL. Has anyone had any experience with either one or both? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thx,
