Here is a demonstration of a touchscreen using windows 8 with
magnifier and new narrator.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPAqk-C71yg&feature=youtu.be

I hope that Jaws will support touch screen in next major release,
because I really like touchscreen features on my iphone. It is very
easy to navigate on webpages and aps.

Hope this helps,

Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] [Bulk] reading email in outlook 2010

Chris,

It may not be Outlook 2007 or 2010, but in how JAWS interacts with those
versions. I tend to blame JAWS, since it's fairly recent (Jaws 12/13) for
me.

Outlook 2003, I have the reading pain set to bottom and autopreview checked
so as I'm arrowing up or down in the list of messages, Jaws will read the
first couple of lines of the email without me having to bother to open every
single one and I can decide to delete it or not quickly.

More mystified now. I never have the reading pane turned on. Without the

Insert V, then down until you hear read messages when opened, it is always
turned off for some reason in initial setup, press space bar and then at

Subject: reading email in outlook 2010

Hi,

I had a brain freeze and don't remember how to fix this?

Using outlook 2010 when I open an email, it only reads the first line
and when I arrow down nothing is being said. When I compose an email,
I can arrow up or down and jaws will read it, however when I open an
email and read it, the above happens.

Does anyone have a fix for this or notes?

Thanks.

Kimsan <kimsansong@...>

I continued having the problem off and on even after I changed it to right,
so it seems there is no clear cut solution. However, I never tried killing
jaws and reviving it, but I will do that the next time jaws decides to give
me the silent treatment when reading.

Take care.

Kimsan,

More mystified now. I never have the reading pane turned on. Without the
reading pane I can read any message once I've opened it. However like you
reported, there are times when only the first line of a message reads and
the rest is stuck. That's when I need to kill JAWS and launch it again to
fix the problem.

Very interesting, but unfortunately not an answer to my problem.

Insert V, then down until you hear read messages when opened, it is always
turned off for some reason in initial setup, press space bar and then at
least 98% of the time it works.

wordperfect x3 with jaws 13 and windows 7

John Fioravanti <fioresq1@...>

Hi: I just installed wordperfect x3 which freedom says works with jaws 13 and windows 7. WHen I read a document I can use controll+right or left arrows to read the words, however, the cursors (right and left) used alone, which normally rad the letters are reporting blank. This only happens in word perfect as the cursors work in note pad and word. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi all
I know this has come up quite a few times on the list, the problem of
people wanting to use language software to learn a language. Yes, such
as Rocket Languages, Rosetta Stone or Innovative Language Learning. As
far as I've read, some people have tried these and said they're
inaccessible? Is there an email address that some of us could try to
suggest to FS to at least try to work with the developer to make one
of these accessible? Since I'm too scared to actually buy a copy of
one of these, I'm not sure if they actually can be made accessible,
like I've heard rosetta stone uses pictures, but Rocket Languages and
Innovative Language Learning's programs could be possible to be used
by blind people since you do get mp3 audio lessons as well? Yes I know
about audio language courses, but they of course don't teach reading
and writing and they're not interactive and can't do all the smart
things these courses can like VR etc. Anyone with more experience in
this please email me.
Thanks
Ari
