Roger,

Why do you want to change the filenames in the first place? As Chris
suggested, it's not a smart thing to be doing. What is your motivation or
driving urgency to change the names of executable files?

Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] [Bulk] Outlook 2007

Dave...

Here's what you should do:

Start with Outlook closed

Windows + r to open the run dialog
Type Outlook /resetnavpane

This resets all the panes to their default positions and sizes.

Hello again,

Well, nothing seems to help. I have even unloaded the current release of
JAWS and tried version 12 and 11 with no success. I have customized the
view when I originally started using Outlook 2007, so I thought maybe I
would return to the default settings and start over. Is there an easy way
to simply restore Outlook to its original look? Please let me know as I
have exhausted all other means of correcting my problem.

Thanks for listening to me wine and complain. LOL!

Mark,

I wonder if you just have a stuck key. I don't mean mechanically stuck but
that it is being detected as held down in code.

Try repeatedly tapping each pair of shift, control, alt, and windows keys
several times rapidly to see if one of them was "stuck". See if you get
control back .

I can see the curser blinking but it will not let me enter text. For
example if I start typing with the key stroke shift plus t for a capital

List,

I am encountering a really strange problem using Outlook 2007 with the
latest version of JFW 13. I believe I accidentally hit a key stroke that
somewhat changed the look of the screen. I have a little residual vision so
I can see that something blinked a bit or changed. Anyway, now when I open
a message, JAWS will not read the message body unless I use the JAWS curser.
Also, if I attempt to write a new email, when I tab to the message body,
JAWS says something like, "this option is not available." I've been racking
my brains but can't for the life of me figure what is going on. Anyone have
any ideas on what I can look to change?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] May be off topic

Ann Byrne

I would rename them to something I can recognize. I have inadvertently hit keys that caused some of my books to be called things like 's.zip', which tells me nothing. If I knew what it was supposed to be, I would rename the thing in a minute. I know how it happened, of course--hitting alt-s for save at the wrong time--but that doesn't give me te name of the book.

It doesn't change a file's content to rename it; just clarifies what it is. You need to be sure to leave the extension unchanged, though.

My advice would be, if you have no idea what they do or what programs may depend on them, leave them alone.

Hi Thomas,

Try the following;
From: Flor Lynch

Do the following in Windows 7

1. Open the start menu and in the search edit box, type updates.
2. Wait a moment, then arrow down to "Show installed updates"
3. Press enter key and wait for the list to load up.
4. Now press the tab key till you come to another search box and in it
type the following;
Internet Explorer

5. After waiting a few moments, press the tab key till you come to a
results
list. IE9 will now be in the results.

6. Press the down arrow key once; then press the "application key" and
down
arrow to uninstall and then press the enter key.

7. Just follow the prompts from here on to remove the item.

Re: IE9

john.falter

You may find that Microsoft is going to update Internet Explorer from whatever you had to I E 9 unless you prohibit automatic updates.
So if you uninstall IE9, you'll what to set your update from automatic to something like "ask me if I want to install".

FS has reduced its pricing for their paid webinars to $29.00 base price.
There are no free tutorials that I know of that will teach you Excel 2010

In January FS is offering lessons on Excel 2010.

still need to remember to call this week and renew my SMA. (Sigh!) Any
help would be appreciated. I'm using V11, but have V13 installed on my
