Re: [Bulk] Insert-shift-r not reading entire row in Excel

Dave...

Ann,

I've noted several inconsistencies in Excel ever since the mid-JAWS-12
changes they made both to the underlying code and to the script files. I
suggest you let FS know about the problem. I have them working on a couple
major issues with Excel, all of which I've reported on this list.

I'm very frustrated with them "tinkering" with Excel and braking a perfectly
good access to a powerful tool.

On my computer, in JAWS 13.0.638 insert-shift-r no longer reads the
whole row in a spread sheet unless all the cells are filled in. If
there are blank cells in the row, Jaws reads the first populated cell
and not the rest. This was true in JAWS 13.0.527 as well. JAWS 12
does a great job, though.

Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] Outlook 2007

Dave...

Mark,

I wonder if you just have a stuck key. I don't mean mechanically stuck but
that it is being detected as held down in code.

Try repeatedly tapping each pair of shift, control, alt, and windows keys
several times rapidly to see if one of them was "stuck". See if you get
control back .

I can see the curser blinking but it will not let me enter text. For
example if I start typing with the key stroke shift plus t for a capital

List,

I am encountering a really strange problem using Outlook 2007 with the
latest version of JFW 13. I believe I accidentally hit a key stroke that
somewhat changed the look of the screen. I have a little residual vision so
I can see that something blinked a bit or changed. Anyway, now when I open
a message, JAWS will not read the message body unless I use the JAWS curser.
Also, if I attempt to write a new email, when I tab to the message body,
JAWS says something like, "this option is not available." I've been racking
my brains but can't for the life of me figure what is going on. Anyone have
any ideas on what I can look to change?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I am using Thunderbird and something similar sometimes happens. That is, if I try typing the letter T it says not in a table or some other letter will say something else indicating that it thinks I am using quick keys in a non editable field. I find that I can quickly hit the shift+tab keys and then tab back to where I was trying to type and it works just fine. Try that and see what happens.

According to Freedom Scientific, it no longer matters what resolution you
use. I'm using 1920-1080, which is the recommended value for my laptop
display. No problems at all.

I think those days of having to worry about resolution are gone.

Hi everyone,

What is the best screen resolution when I have JAWS 11 to JAWS 13 installed
on both my Windows XP and my Windows 7 64-bit computer?

Earlier I used a screen resolution 1024*768, and sometime I still use this
screen resolution.

I have tried the screen resolution Windows 7 recommended (1280*1024), but
here I could not see the Facebook Chat with JAWS.

Very thanks for the answer.

In Windows 7, you can just use windows Explorer; I don't know how many
versions back that facility exists. Besides iTunes, I once tested a couple
of the programs listed as best by the editor at the Gizmo site. C.D. burner
xp was accessible, though a bit tricky to use. I once did a Tek Talk program
about it. My guess is that the programs reviewed here have a good chance to
be accessible.

Dana
