editfields?

Hi,
I subscribe to a data base on the web where one moves from page to page
where there are no edit fields.

On openingthe page, the auto form's mode chirp sound sounds as ifthere was
an editfield present.
The automatic form's mode chirp sound does sound.

But there are no form edit fields.

Hitting the letter "f" discovers no edit field.

I pay for the data and cannot share it here.

This is confusing asI
am supposed to believe that the auto form's mode sound
announces only form edit fields

I realize one can turn auto forms mode off.

Just tryingto make things work.

Sounds in Word 2003

If you go to the property sheet of Word and shift tab a few times acrost you
will find a setting to turn this feature off or even to down load these
Micro soft office sounds.

F picks up form controls, and I've found edit fields are a subset. In fact,
f sometimes finds an edit field when e doesn't, such as on some Amazon
pages. I wonder if tabbing around that opening page would help.

Re: Sounds in Word 2003

This is a guess. Go to your control panel, then press s until you hear
"sounds and audio." Press enter, then control-tab to "sounds." Tab through
this page until you hear "tree view." Up or down arrow in this list and see
if there's a related sound scheme to turn off or on.

Hi! I recently had my computer at work set back to the factory resets after
some software problems and I'm still trying to get things back to where they
were before. One issue I have is that when I open a Word document, go to
spell-check it, etc., I'm getting sounds which I assume are associated to
the particular action I'm performing. I had these sounds turned off before,
but can't figure out how to turn them off now. Can someone tell me how to
do this? Thank you in advance.

Gerardo, I don't have this problem with JAWS 12, and no one has reported it

some sort. Is this true, or is it something to do with a Jaws setting I'm

Hi everyone,

Do you have any experience using Jaws and a dictionary software?
As far as I know, Babylon is a very popular software, but is not accessible,
Is it true?
I'd like to know about your work with any dictionary software, no matter
what languages you use.
Personally I am interested in Turkish to English dictionary, but if you
successfully work with a different language pairs, I am curious to hear
about it too .
Thank you for your help.

My experience trying this is uniformly poor. The jaws running on the
host has a very difficult time with the Virtual PC software, the
hot-keys that are supposed to get you out aren't honored, that sort of
thing (and even the jaws+3 pass key through hasn't worked for me).
Maybe if you were to ignore the VPC console and use RDP to connect but
that seems like it would be very cumbersome, I haven't tried it.

creating video; designing flash; creating image file: any accessible way?

Amar Jain

Hi Listers,
I have to accomplish following using Jaws 13 and no other screen reader:
1. Shoot a video, edit it and provide for uploading.
In the video I have to capture laptop screen as well.
Is there any software which is accessible or semi-accessible through which I can do this job? Given the fact that now we can make use of OCR feature of Jaws 13?
What about windows movie maker?
2. Create an image of headnotes and imbed it on a html page.
How do I go about creating headnotes image which displays the text in the image itself? Any program recommended?
3. Most tricky job, create a flash presentation using Adobe Flash CS Professional or any such software.
Is the above mentioned software accessible or any other way of doing it?
Can you also point me towards:
A. learning flash through tutorials,
B. making accessible flash content except the adobe guidelines itself.
I have done no research on the same but I need to do it as fast as possible after 29th. Any help will be appreciated.
Regards
Amar Jain.

Hi,
From Computer, select the drive, then press Alt+ENTER to open properties.
It shows you the drive's free space and capacity.
Cheers,
Joseph
