Look in the insert ribbon.

Once word is open, press alt, arrow right until you here insert and
tab
until you hear the table option.

Juanita,

Yes, for XP you need to create and execute a file that will change a
value in your registry. Here's a complete text from an old E-Mail
message explaining how to do it, compliments of "The Elf" who once used
to be on this list.

Here is how to increase the time balloon tips stay on your computer.

Copy the below in note pad and save it. Now find the file you just
created and rename it to "changeballoontime.reg: and enter on it and say
yes when prompted if you want to add the information to your registry.

Copy what is between start copying and end copying; but do not copy the
words start copying and end copying.

start copying

end copying

HI guys:

Anyone who use Jaws13 with Word2007 find that especially in the
Microsoft Office tab and the Start tab (it's in spanish Inicio I don't
know in english what's the word but it's after the Microsoft Office area
and before the Insert area in the ribbons) Jaws, at least on Windows xp,
doesn't read the ribbons right when I go with the tab?I have to put
theJaws cursor and left-click for the ribbon be read OK; even weirder
activating the Virtual ribbon also gives the same misread ribbon. I
don't know if it's a Jaws problem or an Office2007 problem, thus the
question.

Need help with a jaws script.

Hi folks! I'm using Jaws 13, and need to know how to put a script into the Jaws Settings, so Adobe Audition version 1.5 will work properly. I am able to open the window, and can copy the files to the clip board, but after that, I am not sure where to paste those files. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Lisle,

Here's another explanation.

In computing, caret navigation is a kind of keyboard navigation where a
caret (also known as "text cursor", "text insertion cursor", or "text
selection
cursor") is used to navigate within a text document. It is a fundamental
feature for applications that deal with text, for example text editors,
word processors and desktop publishing programs.

This kind of navigation is also supported by the Mozilla-based web
browsers, where it is referred as "caret browsing". A shortcut key (F7)
is assigned to toggle between caret mode and non-caret mode. In caret
mode, a blinking caret appears within the webpage. User can then
navigate the webpage using arrow keys. The navigation is finer than
spatial navigation and tabbing navigation, which deals with hyperlinks
only, but most times it is slower.

so basically if you have a PSP or cellphone browser... that's what it
becomes like.. where you can move up and down by using the arrow keys
[they jump to the next link]

to turn it off press F7 again

BTW, thanks for asking this question. I always wondered what the hell
it was as well! LOL LOL

Now we both have learned a little! Take care.
Mike

Re: What's Up, Doc

Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)

Okay, thanks to you as well. I knew it wasn't a JAWS feature and was
really looking for a reply off list. I'm not sure, but I think we
probably use 8 on this machine; haven't bothered to find out. Except
for the way it squirrels away files, and I'm getting use to that, 7 is
as cool as I had been led to believe--fast, smooth, and stable, under
what can be trying conditions running several apps, and 3 to 5 Internet
screens at once.

Hi Lisle,

Click on the link below for a tutorial of some sorts, I don't know if
it's a video or just audio.

I didn't have time to listen to but, a minute or so. Hope this helps a
little. Take care.

That makes sense; I may give it a whirl some time. Thanks.

Caret browsing is not really a win7 feature, it is a browser feature
instead.

Really all it does, as far as I can tell, is make the browser a bit more
keyboard friendly in the absence of a screen reader. It does make a
visible caret show up on the page which has been really helpful when
I've been trying to get sighted assistance with pages because then it is
much easier to communicate about exactly where in the page I am looking.

The keyboard interaction stuff it enables though is pretty much already
taken care of by any screen reader product.

Re: What's Up, Doc

Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)

It happens when I call up a links list. If I accidentally hit F7
slightly before the JAWS key, there it is. Sorry for the horrible pun;
it's a weakness of mine.
