I used Outlook for years on a previous computer and was quite happy
with it, though I never explored the calendar feature then. Now,
however, I don't have Outlook, and I've gotten so used to just using
gmail online for my email that I would probably only use it for the
calendar if I did have it. So I wonder if it would be worth the price.

Hi All:

Since moving from a PDA with MSP to a netbook with JFW, the thing I sorely
miss is an accessible calendar for tracking appointments, etc.
Any suggestions for something that works well with JFW11 or higher?
Thanks.

you can do this with any audio editor, once you connect your audio equipment to the computer.

Audacity, Sound Forge, Goldwave, Reaper, Total Recorder, CDEX ...

Tracy,

F6 in Word routes between the document window, the status bar, and the menu
ribbon. Press until you hear something like print view or normal view. Use
the right/left arrows here to highlight the button of your choice and press
spacebar. F6 back to the document.

Hi Tracy,

What operating system & version of Word are you running? I am running XP &
Word 2002. If I press Alt + V, while in Word, Normal is the first 1 in the
list when the view menu opens. Press enter on normal to check it & close
the menu. Take care.

I don't have a Normal button; print view is pressed.

At this point I would suggest you try getting a seeing eye human to
check out what is going on.

You need to give more info,

what happens when you hit enter when the attachment button is focused?
(I get a dialog).

Also, note that if you are in a corporate environment it is possible
that your admins have simply disabled being able to use attachments.

Open the message, then hit shift enter and you will hear something
like "<attachment name> <attachment size> button"

Hit enter and you will be asked if you want to open the attachment.
Unfortunately with WLM I am not aware of any way to simply save
attachments directly to files which is what I want to do far more
often than simply open it. To save an arbitrary attachment you end up
having to add a file association if there isn't one and then save the
file.

Hi, Kurt:
Well, I have jaws 13 and lol, I am not getting anywhere.

Also, before anyone harps on this topic, I know there are more important
things in life besides facebook and the games they have. I'm just the
curious George type and also stubborn and would like to know how, if at all
possible to have jfw work with fb and Farmville.
Curt, feel free when you are board to write me off list and lets talk about
the pet pubs game or u can post here how you play it using jaws.

Re: [Bulk] facebook, farmville etc using jaws?

Dave...

I'd be very surprised if the Convenient OCR feature in JAWS 13 would be a
great benefit to these games, unless they were static and didn't require any
quick reaction to screen changes. The Convenient OCR is not very fast.

Re: [Bulk] [Bulk] Vinyl-Cassette conversion

Dave...

Chris,

Yes, I know about using Sound Forge, Sonar, etc. And even with JAWS it's a
multiple-step process. I know that Roxio had a program at one point called
something like LP Capture that worked fairly well with JAWS, using the JAWS
cursor quite a bit. It would benefit from a good dose of Hot Spot Clicker,
I'm sure. In any case that program was designed to "listen" to the audio as
it was being recorded, and in addition to adding de-clicking, rumble, hiss,
and crackle reduction, also detected the silent gaps and started a new wave
file at that point. A very nice concept, but fiddly and only partially
accessible at best.

DeadCatBounce, if you Google Roxio and "LP Capture" you may find this
somewhere out there, since I think it came as an OEM with some CD burners.

I don't know about automatic track splitting, sorry. It's really
easy to select portions of audio in Sound Forge, for example, and
just copy, cut, paste etc. as need be.

Dave...

Chris,

Will any of those you suggested automatically split the tracks into separate
files during the silence grooves, including noise reduction? That's the type
of think I would like, just to make the whole process more automated.

There are actual USB turntables made with built-in capability to do this,
but none that I know of are JAWS accessible.

you can do this with any audio editor, once you connect your audio
equipment to the computer.

Audacity, Sound Forge, Goldwave, Reaper, Total Recorder, CDEX ...
