Hi All,

I have a word document in which text has been highlighted using
various colors to denote different types of edits.

How to I tell Jaws 12 to identify the different colors of text as I
read through the document?

So far in process and done are:
Dutch, English of course, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Italian, Swedish,

I noticed this too. Today was the first time I really tried to select
anything. It does seem to work with .rtf files ok, but it definitely
doesn't work with .docx files.

shift down arrow. Then JAWS says selected...

imagine people getting invisible emails, and it is a sighted world out
there, my emails white print on black screen would arrive appearing
invisible. Those who knew me would highlight them, even a computer engineer
rang me to say "I cannot see it. The only people who did not get in black on
black,were those who used webmail. I asked the man who demonstrated the
equipment to me in my home why it worked when he set it up ,it had no
internet connection it was my first ever computer remember. He said later he
always used windows98 to demonstrate it was easier to colour the Pallets.
anyway the rnib volunteer did say"!I have been here 2 hours and the darned
thing has lied about everything, However the hard part was diagnosing the

Hello I wonder if you can describe the role of the buffer pleas I once
tried some good clear English speaking voices on my ocr,they actually came
with a version of jaws but we could use them with our ocr., I would use one
called Daniel it said 22 hertz after it, anyway Daniel, not to be confused
with jaws British English This Daniel was a real belter,and would not be
paused once he got going. A friend said most likely the buffer is not
emptying, he said the buffer was like afunnel so example you are pouring
water into the top of the funnel before it has time to run out at the end
The person who toldme that was totally blind and is the man who made all his

Your first point, JFW reading some part of a previous screen, I've thought
of as the "flush" problem - it's very annoying. I've noticed it only
sometime in the last few versions.
It seems there's a buffer that isn't being reset as JFW switches between
environments.

Maybe I'm just getting cranky---a definite possibility--but I find myself
saying more and more often to my students, "JAWS is lying to you."

1. When opening a new document or application, JAWS often rereads the
previous screen before reading the screen it just opened. To a newby,
this
is way confusing.

2. When reading dates, JAWS speaks a 'th' or 'st' or 'rd' after the date,
even
though it isn't there. It is important to me to know what I wrote, not
what
JAWS thinks I want to hear.

3. When working with an outline in Word 2010, JAWS often but not
consistently reports the line I just pressed enter on, and not the new
line
with the outline number. So when I'm planning a party--my favorite
outline--it says "2. send invitations' and not '3', which is where the
cursor is.

I don't think I'm imagining this. Is anyone else having these kinds of
issues???

Today on GiveAwayOfTheDay there is folder software (pasted below) which I
downloaded, installed
and registered for free. I am struggling to run it using Jaws so I am
